During a very heavy enjoyable trip to one of my now gone favourite ritualistic experiences, i was introduced to Utah Phillips while enjoying what had to be what i thought was the worst delirium tremens i was yet to experience. Apparently not i had worse after and am never going back there again. Anyway a very special friend enlightened me to everyones favourite "anarchist grandad" Utah mother funkin Phillips so i did a re write dub of his tune "All Used Up" Sleep well Utah! Up the union down with the Nazi's power to the people in the hands of the workers! Disco Van Dyke put a bit of Banjo on it, Jess MacPherson 1 taked a fiddle part and i jammed it through my DENON Tape Deck DR-M12HX for some wobble and saturation if you enjoy what i do please support me on my patreon my music will always be free and i believe music should be free for everyone if people have a couple quids to chuck here and there then all the better to keep me rolling on, Thanks and please share it about if its your thing!! ;P

I’m Orla Callan, a singer-songwriter from Dublin with a love for blending ethereal sounds, folk, and world music. Growing up with musician parents, music has always been my compass. I’m inspired by my Irish roots, travels, and the stories I find along the way. My songs are about exploring the world, embracing its beauty, and getting lost in the magic of sound.

Church musician, guitarist since I was 15. I worked in the Civil Service, and loved a wonderful lady when I was young.

The tracks on Bells and Leaves and Leaf and Sympathy were recorded mostly in 2021-2022; Oyster Bay I composed in the mid-70s, recorded again in 2025; I wrote the first two verses, chorus and fancy guitar intro of I Will Always Love You, Dear in 1980 or '81, finished and recorded the full song in 2021. Tracks on Gloucester Abbey and East Lane were recorded 1967-1969, and my dear comrade Bill Morriss's genius is well shown. My dear brother Nick Thurlow-Brown is usually on the drums on East Lane, and  also on Anthrax from Oi Wot You Lookin' A'; my dear brother Nigel Thurlow wrote Tin Plated Armour and Anthrax, recorded in 1978 and 1981, and he plays the drums on Tin Plated Armour.
