Its a been a while, but Rejected boss Edwin Oosterwal finally returns, alongside Woodie S, with a brand new single, Missing, and a nagging piano riff that just won't let go. 

Having had the idea for a track in his mind for some time, but more than aware of his limited experience at the piano, Edwin was on the hunt for a player. Step forward Woodie S. "Wout had already blown us away with his incredible playing on the Pitto single 'Shadows', and was the perfect choice to help me with the track" says Edwin. 

Joining forces the Dutchmen created a version that was put through the Rejected test run of both Edwin and fellow label boss Joris Voorn. The wonderfully hypnotic and annoyingly catchy piano melody of Woodie S, dances likes a sprite over the bouncing tech beats of Edwin, on an original track that has ended up far removed from the original blueprint of the record. 

Which leads us to the remix. "Whilst I love the original and have seen how well it works on the floor, I also wanted to try and get closer to my very first ideas for the record" says Edwin. 

Their remix gives the record of a beautifully laid-back beach-house feel. The keys are tended with an added jazz and the chords are smooth as silk. Sunshine vibes all round.

Stereo Montreal's homegrown resident Paolo Rocco links with Pijynman​ on the inaugural release for his RAWMoments imprint, which features the stripped-back​ house cut 'V12'.

'V12' is a stripped-back dubby groove with subtle atmospherics and a driving rhythm that make it primed for the dancefloor. It possesses the distinct sound profile that's been on full display during Rocco's RAWMoments parties that have taken place at Stereo Montreal for the past two years. Now the new label, in partnership with Lessi S. and Pijynman, will serve as a home for more house innovation to flourish. 

Look for RAWM01, a vinyl only release which also features material from New York City's Alix Alvarez and Berlin's Diego Krause, to be released December 5.

Neverdogs return to Decay to deliver their ‘Stop & Repeat’ EP, set release on vinyl in mid-November, with remixes from Andre Butano, Demian Muller and The Willers Brothers.
DJs, producers and now label owners, Italian pairing Marco De Gregorio and Tommy Paone, aka Neverdogs, have experienced their busiest year to date, releasing their debut album on their Bamboleo imprint earlier this year whilst making appearances at the likes of The BPM Festival, Amnesia (Ibiza), Music On Festival, Sunwaves and fabric (London) to name just a few. Up next, the duo return to London based imprint Decay Records this November following their collaborative EP alongside Matteo Gatti on the label in 2017 to deliver ‘Stop & Repeat’, backed by remixes from Andre Butano & Demian Muller, and The Willers Brothers.
Title cut ‘Stop & Repeat’ sees the Italian pair work slick organic percussion arrangements amongst skittering synth lines, before Butano and Muller’s remix takes things towards more electronic territories, introducing snarling bass and off-kilter sci-fi sonics. Next, second original cut ‘Day One’ welcomes futher crisp drum work amongst a deep-lying core groove, before Berlin-based duo The Willers Brothers employ skipping drums and rich sub-bass throughout their swing-fuelled interpretation to wrap up the package.

Premiere: Neverdogs - Day One (The Willers Brothers Remix) [Decay Records]

We are delighted to welcome up-and-coming Italian producer, Giovanni Damico to the Landed camp - an artist who is fast making some strong waves in the Deep House scene.

Emotional and poignant, 'Darwin's Theory EP' is a perfect mixture of true underground House music. Giovanni's understanding of the raw and deep far exceeds expectations.

Edwin Oosterwal is driven by timeless soul-laced house and techno. A DJ with over 25 years of stripes, including residencies at iconic Amsterdam clubs Trouw and Studio 80, past performances at key festivals such as Awakenings and Mysteryland and world class clubs from fabric to Berghain | Panorama Bar, his ability to fuse between house and techno hits with an insatiable jacking energy. He has a knack of weaving stark stripped-back troughs and dizzying physical peaks; a dark art that’s reflected in everything else he does.

As a label co-boss behind Rejected and Spectrum (imprints he founded with Joris Voorn), the output is characterised by direct dancefloor tracks laced with longevity.
