Piano Improvisation

Litany (2011)

On April 12, 2025, I released a digital version of a four-song work that reworked the music from the Beta series. I took an experimental approach to this work, exploring different possibilities from the edited data I had already finished, and mixing phrases from two different songs from two albums. I hope you will listen to it. The artwork is also by sculptor Yusuke Tsuchiya.

空が　閉じた目を刺す

瞼のうらが　赤く輝く
昨日の痛み　癒えてはいないようだ


伸ばした手が　体を置き去って遠く
怒ることさえも　忘れてしまった光
汚れた手で　がむしゃら　駆けていく
分かり合えない傷を　分かち合っていく
生き続けてく


ひらけた　崩れた
走って　泣いてた
悲しさ　語っていたいと
笑っていたいと
祈ってたこと

Storyteller

This is the 3rd in the "Instruments" series of experimental works focusing on the sounds of musical instruments. This time, I experimented with old vibraphone sounds and processed them in various ways to see how far I could go in musical expression. This project is a kind of training to increase the number of ideas while enjoying the production.
