Born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, originating from Budapest Hungary, Niklis C or Niklis Csanyi has had a love for electronic music ever since he was young. Nik’s brother was his first true inspiration into the world of electronic and dj’ing culture, this inspiration led Nik to his first set of turntables and mixer. From that point on he was hooked.

Starting it out as a hobby for about 4 years, Nik then took a trip to Hungary/Europe which solidified his dedication to the music and dj culture. The trip was truly an amazing experience, witnessing the massives of Sensation , Gatecrasher, and Creamfields where he saw Paul Kalkbrenner, Markus Schultz, Laidback Luke, Bingo Players, Axwell, and ATB rock the crowd like no other. He also recently took a trip to Miami to board The Groove Cruise (The Worlds Largest Floating Dance Music Festival) where he had the opportunity of playing along side the likes of many well known Dj's such as Sander Van Doorn, Donald Glaude, Chris Lake, Roger Sanchez, Sydney Blu, Thomas Gold, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Funkagenda, Darude, Steeve Smooth, Dj Scotty Boy and Ryan Morales who he is now in constant contact with and is also a big inspiration to his dj career.

Taking it to the next level in Edmonton Niklis then came to meet such local dj's as Christian J, Dj Aidan, B-Ill, Anthony Donohue, Audioholic, and Seelo Mondo, their dedication and mindset towards the music and the scene further drove Niklis to be involved heavily here in Edmonton. Once Nik finally got his first chance to Play at Y Afterhours it was done, hooked for life. At 23 years of age, with 5 yrs under his belt, holding residencies all over the city not to mention playing all over Alberta and opening for many world renowned DJ's/Producers, Niklis C has fire in his eyes, talent, and is one young dj to watch out for.

I would summarize my music as Strum & Bass.
A fusion of bass music and guitar music. 

(Dnb, Future Bass, Dubstep, Dub, Rap, Rock, Metal)

My producing & recording journey started in 2002. Around that time I was already playing live gigs as a rapper & singer in a band and always felt at home on stage, which comes to no surprise as the child of a professional musician. I just grew up improvising on instruments and studio equipment, so singing, rapping - especially freestyle - and electronic music production just came naturally to me.
