Benjamin Adair Murphy’s last album 'Let’s Make a King' was called “one of the most compelling albums of 2020” by the Folk Connection, and named one of the best albums of 2020 by multiple publications.  The Talk Tonight Blog in the UK has described Benjamin as "...possibly one of the best underground voices I’ve heard it a very long time.”

Benjamin fronted the NYC band the Blue Eighty Eights, and has recorded solo albums in Brooklyn, Rome, and Mexico City. He has written lyrics for Nanuchka, Roiki, Electro Morocco, the Monophonic Shooting Spree, and other artists.

​His music has appeared in the film Beckman (2020) - IMDb starring William Baldwin and Burt Young, and Revelation Road 2: The Sea of Glass and Fire (2013) - IMDb starring Eric Roberts and Ray Wise.

​His poetry and fiction have been published in Headline Poetry and Press, The Good Ear Review, Ophelia Street, Spare Change, and others. His plays have been produced in New York, Boston, Chicago, Carrboro NC, and Millersville University. His play Hinterland was produced Off-Off Broadway in 2009.
