Dozet is a DJ/Producer hailing from Novi Sad, Serbia. He is a part of the event collective called "Acropolis" that is dedicated to pushing the limits of Drum & Bass Music.

"Knickerbockers" is a forward-thinking take on Ghetto Slam, combining many genres and taking inspiration from Levela, Imanu and Buunshin. The ugly foghorn sounds were made by using a sound from a real ship horn and combining it with a foghorn sample.

This track is part of Nu Kvlture's 2nd compilation EP "Vol.2" which features tunes from up to 40 artists and spanning between 100-170bpm. This EP has done the rounds from artists such as LCY, A.Fruit, Gremlinz as well as shows on Rinse FM & Boiler Room.

Memories is a nostalgic trip going directly back to the wizard's childhood back when the only electronic music he could hear was from videogames and tv broadcasts.
The only close thing he could find was that daft punk CD he rented at the library...

This track is the first of a serie that tries to reignite lost, blurred memories of greyish plastic & afternoons of boredom spent in your child's room in the early 2000's.

Emerging from a small cloud sat atop a rolling hill, Local Knowledge appears with a new story in hand. It’s a damp, leather-bound, somewhat tatty edition, filled with musical adventures dated to a time before the orcs. The first page turns, it is simply titled ~ Knowledge ~

Knowledge begins here, with long[er] form music to enlighten ur mind.

Chapter One in this here sonic tapestry is weaved by Leipzig artisan, Tinkah - an artist we had the good fortune of releasing in 2022, as part of the Return to Nature series.

‘Apathy Is Death’ is a precisely engineered, restless and longing work of experimental bass music. Tinkah has created a sonic landscape that is both mesmerising and haunting. The fundamental note is tension as he speaks a tale of ego and its myriad manifestations.. highs & lows. Climax & anticlimax. Adoration & pity. A 12” quest through the taverns of retrospect.

The latest podcast sees Petrola 80 bosses @lyravalenza take a restrained approach while placing specific focus on their local Copenhagen scene.

A collaboration between longstanding friends Jens Konrad and Hjalte Lehman, the LV blueprint transcends genre. It’s day-glo rave ordnance that draws from eurodance, techno and the so-called hardcore continuum – nostalgic and undeniably fwd-facing at once.

Distilling the euphoria of their live sets into 8 distinct tracks, debut full-length ‘Low Gear No Pressure’ spanned everything from blissed ambience to precision-tooled breakbeats and trance-tinged jungle. Dipping into downtempo territory for the first time, it also represented a broadening of their already eclectic palette, and this mix certainly continues in that vein.
 
“Our recent DJ appearances and mixes have been hazy peak-hour sets, so here, we wanted to dive a little deeper and explore slower BPMs and tracks we rarely get the chance to play out, combined with tunes we usually play in the beginning of our sets. It’s also the first time we chose to work with a strict gender balance between the featured artists and producers. And as usual we focused on the booming Copenhagen scene, this time including local artists such as Gavnlig, Muskila, Capitana, DJ Paydar and Mbizo.” – Lyra Valenza

Dead Trax proudly presents solla’s debut EP “nthat” (DDTX002): two club-ready tracks set at 135 BPM showcasing a unique sound based around intricate percussive work, granulated textures and omnipresent sub bass, always paying tribute to the dub influence which permeates the UK sound.

Born in Bristol, @solla-sound grew up immersed in diverse musical influences. Driven by a passion for sound exploration, he ventured into the world of synthesis and modular synthesizers, and has now progressed to programming VST plugins for his professional endeavours. With a vinyl release under his original alias SØL on the Karbanik Sound label, as well as several collaborative records with Harrta as Sabasonik, his work has appeared on labels such as Earth & Stone, Outhouse Sounds, and 786 Recordings. After moving to Montreal (Canada) and finding inspiration in the city's dynamic underground music scene, he continues to evolve his sound now under the ‘solla’ alias, all whilst retaining the distinctive influences from his Bristol roots.

DDTX002 will be out on March 7th 2024 via Bandcamp and all the usual digital platforms.
