Carla Valenti (@carlavalenti) é uma dj, produtora, multi-instrumentista e live-act chilena, agora residente em Barcelona, que há mais de 10 anos vem trazendo seu som através de seus sets, lançamentos e apresentações e também pelo seu selo La Chimba Discos, uma netlabel focada na mistura eletroafrolatina em geral. O interesse pela musica e os instrumentos populares e folclóricos de sua terra surgiram ainda quando era criança até que estando inserida no contexto da musica eletronica, resolveu estudar academicamente o processo das tecnologias sonoras, o mundo das máquinas, do som e da música ao vivo e fez essa conexão entre suas raízes musicais e os beats sintéticos de forma institiva, natural e calma.

Ela já passou uma temporada no Brasil onde esteve em todas as mais importantes pistas do underground. É uma das artistas da New Latam Beats e tem uma enorme produção de musicas autorais, remixes e edits. Já saiu por selos importantes como shika shika, tropical twista records, ohxala records, nucleo gatopardo, casacaos, shango, fertil discos e lassi international.

Para essa edição que fizemos um ano de programa, Carla Valenti traz um set 100% autoral pela primeira vez em sua carreira!

The duo of Kate McGill and Ajit ‘Nitrox’ Steyns have carved out a space in modern D&B all their own, building on a legacy that reaches back to the late 00s to keep pushing into unexplored terrain with an assured and deadly line in rhythmic intrigue and atmospheric immersion. 
 
Lost Knowledge launches into action instantly with the high-pressure drum science and dubby splashes of ‘Drunken Bells’, capturing the loopy techno propulsion and rolling intensity that drives so much of the output on Samurai Music. Where The Untouchables excel is in finding variety and nuance in their relatively forbidding, pared down sound.  

Nothing happens by accident or feels out of place — McGill and Steyns are in total control, and they demonstrate incredible range and inventive approaches within their focused style. The accent of the grooves shifts, and individual sounds carry all kinds of artefacts, yet everything gets folded into the exacting Untouchables sound with a liberal dubwise sensibility.
