This song represents my idea of minimalist concept. Synths and FXs are sequenced in Numerology4 and Logic. Melody is played with Nord's Rhodes and Malletech Omega vibraphone. Drums are from Nord Drum 2.

The Day One (ver. 2020)

This is a new version of this rather minimalistic tune: it's composed of just one simple arpeggiator pattern, guitar-like riff, bass line and drums. In 2018 I also added Electric piano to make it little more "human". On summer 2020 I recorded vibraphone to add more color to main melody.

Sounds are from my hardware synths: Arturia Origin, Access Virus Ti2 and Nord Drum 2. Sequencing was put together in Numerology 4 and recorded and mixed in Logic.

Solar Wind (ver. 2020)

This is a 4th part of the Archipelago Suite which is made for a short film series about Finnish archipelago. For myself, it's also a compositional study with strings (violins, violas, cellos and basses) and my first one with Cinestrings Core, string sample library from Cinesamples.

Archipelago Pt.4 - Isokari (ver. 2020)

Pekka Laine (born April 13th 1974) is a versatile musician and music teacher living in Turku, Finland.
His main interests in music vary from playing and performing acoustic jazz to composing all kinds of music with computers and electronic instruments. Laine's resent interest has been combining piano and vibraphone to electric music environment. In his music he likes to mix elements from jazz, classical music and electronic music. For him there's no ultimate music style above all others; you can make good or bad music in any music style. Nevertheless music must carry strong feeling and if you can make it with just few notes, that's the magic.
