My next guest on Yax Invites is Paty Pat, a DJ and Producer from Switzerland.

The entire building of Paty Pat contains a unique sonic world independent of the music played when the clubs are open to the public. These sounds were recorded and edited into a library which was given to all featured, to make music with. There were no limitations placed on how each artist should work with the sounds.

Patrick Steger is not new here, but in case you missed it, he was born in Switzerland in 1980. His passion for the music began in the electronic 90s listening to Detroit techno and Chicago style. As a result, these two became the most important influences for his music.

Patrick works in the historic Orlando Voorn’s label Nightvision and very soon he will be releasing on it. He’s an active member of the Minimal Detroit Crew too, but his work doesn’t finish there, he’s an old school DJ and a pure vinyl lover. His mixes are the perfect example of the classic techno sessions which have that historical and well-known vinyl sound.

As a producer, he’s basically on the same line, with those hypnotic detroit techno rhythms from the 90s and 2000s which can make you dance and don’t let you escape from the dance floor.

Now he started a few new projects: the first one being his own label “Drumpat Records” which is focused on techno and Detroit sounds; the second one, his new collaboration with us based on this Series to release classic and techno sounds influenced by the originals movements.

There aren’t many techno-heads in Eindhoven who haven’t danced to the driving beats of Rick Angel. Well known for his role in Zodiak Commune and his former Technononsense residency at the Effenaar, this DJ has been at the heart of the scene for over 30 years. His style can be best described as driving techno with a subtle but relentless buildup of intensity, best enjoyed LOUD!

Philanthropist 2.0 in his city, passionate about the electronic drive and tireless promoter in constant struggle to maintain the Galician club culture, ROI champions his passionate mission, to a large extent, being an active part of the Fanzine project, which he co-directs together with The Panic Room. 
Famous for his powerful live sessions, in his you-to-you with the audience distills a whole melting pot of rhythms waving from the light. 
Elegance and power come together in off-road tracks, full of versatility, where he moves like a fish in water within the chromatic stylistic whirlwind that he cultivates in his overwhelming sonic laboratory. 
In the songs that define the path sown in his sessions, we can see his personal revolution: from rural isolation to the return to the urban barricades of rhythm. There is no truce in experiences loaded with beats, sharpened to the bone and drunk with narcotic atmospheres. 
This ambition is nourished by a body of work tiled with obsessive detail, drawn with the desire to expose the emotional grooves of his rich stylistic palette. Achievements of a trajectory that has yet to leave noteworthy new chapters written in a not too distant future.
