He's given us the gift that keeps on giving this Holiday Season with his latest EP 'Krump Juke', delivering a body of work of some bouncy, experimental and squeaky clean 160bpm+ club anthems that we've been waiting patiently to release on our Catalog since the late pandemic. Featuring a Stunning Remix from the highly esteemed Canadian duo GREAZUS (Owners & Operators of Aufect Recordings & Triple A Talent Agency) , this 4 Track EP has a bit of every flavor for everyone and so much more. FROM THE ARTIST:

'The moment I found BroDawg ManDude's track 'Losing You' on ER, I dove into creating something for the label. It was produced in the thick of the pandemic, and became a refuge for my creative focus (in my parents' basement) as I navigated uncertainty. The Elastic sound is rooted in epic builds, acute basslines and cheeky vocals, and this EP has no shortage. Krump Juke plays with the vocal samples of Young Buck's 'Stomp' and The Fixxers 'Can U Werk Wit Dat' - an unlikely pairing. Merging multiple genres is the essence of footwork-jungle, so the experimentation felt natural. Krump and Juke street-style dancing are distinct, but share an intensity, and intersecting the two was intentional. The Greazus remix relaxes the groove, and the final track follows suit with a more mellow quality. It's my most comprehensive high tempo release to date, and I'm really excited to hear how it's received. Enjoy.'

Colombian label Trampa has always had a thing for gathering many greats within one release - after all their in-demand compilations featured dozens of Latin American talents throughout the past few years. With their upcoming release they're taking it to the next level though as 'POSEÍDA' not only sees three big names - DJ Sustancia, Linapary and BZZHOUND - meet in a single track but also brings a diverse line up of remixing producers, including the likes of JOTADELLI, Nuevo Prohibido, NEGRACONDA or Trexeter, the latter of whom boldly departed from the original and delivered a jungle rework.

Having made it into Mixmag’s Top 20 Labels of 2016 chart, Kaizen looks set to start 2017 with an almighty bang. 

The third release on Madam X’s burgeoning imprint comes from Manchester based Walton. After several releases via Kode9’s Hyperdub he released his debut album ‘Beyond’ to critical acclaim and once you add to that a trio of fine EPs on Tectonic, we see an artist with seemingly unlimited potential. 

Walton is no stranger when it comes to dark frequencies and the superb ‘Taiko’ EP takes influence from Far Eastern sounds with a wealth of space and subtle percussive grooves. 

The A-side features two fierce and stark club cuts, with ‘Tension’ setting the tone for the murkiness inside. You may recognise the track from Madam X’s wildly hyped Boiler Room set and it’s found it’s way into Loefah’s bag too. Title track ‘Taiko’ hinges on a groove that bounces and slams its way through the runtime with Mary Ann Hobbs a fan of “the dark, tribal textures”

On the flipside the pace is kept up with two more dense, atmospheric tracks, with ‘Black Hole’ employing a heavy set, feverish use of percussion and ‘Zen’ acting as a more cinematic cut, almost like a weightless, demonic lullaby.

The EP has been on the club circuit for at least a year before seeing release, but the wait is now over and it’s time for Madam X to take Kaizen to the next level.
