Par ce matin d’été, la terre recrache des volutes de fumée.
Toutes les routes, nous ramènent, dans ce monde calcaire, aux senteurs d’été.
Toutes les routes, nous ramènent, vers ces pentes douces, plantées d’oliviers,
de pins, de cyprès et de micocouliers.
Dans ses ruelles escarpées, résonne encore le langage des ainés,
Le lavoir nous raconte, le temps et les amours passés.
Par ce matin d’été, le clocher émerge de la plaine embrumée.
Et le bleu se fait plus dur, sous le coup de midi,
Et le blanc est si pur, et le chant des cigales assourdit,
Le temps n’a pas de prise, doucement souffle la brise.
J’ai fait le tour du Monde, j’en ai vu tous les recoins,

Edited: I decided to replace the song with the one that can be seen and heard on Youtube. In the aftermath, even the monotonous percussion work gets on my nerves. I left it out and played with the tempos a bit instead. I think that without percussion I come rather close to the Greek saga.

I hope the version doesn't disappoint the previous listeners of the "old" version too much.

This track starts with a well known theme from the movie "The Godfather". In fact, I have never seen the film and I erroneously thought I had invented the theme, until I learned that it is actually not by me 🤔. I must have subconciously heard it from street musicians and then my brain sneakily declared it as its own invention 😉. Anyways, I am certain, my piece is sufficiently different from the original film music that I will not be sued for copyright issues ...😉.

The tune starts with the theme of "The Godfather" and then relatively quickly turns into an arpeggio-like part. Originally I had named the song "Rain on the Fields" as this passage reminds me of rainveils floating through the air. 
After a very reduced middle piece, the arpeggio piece is repeated again, but this time with a delay of 1/16 note in the right hand which gives it (at least for me) a distinctly different, more airy, feeling. After an elegic (more ore less) triolic part, in the end, the piece touches again lightly on the Godfather theme and finally vanishes in thin air 🎈

Thought Experiment

I tried to force myself to make music for the first time. Music unlike anything you've heard before. 
　Using fragments that I once discarded as boring phrases. This song was never finished no matter how long it took. 
　After repeating the process of making four songs, destroying them, and recreating them from scratch, this song is the final remaining sound make-up. 　
"I couldn't stop being excited." Even when I failed, my heart danced.
