The musical story of Marie Pravda begins in the Olomouc Metro chill out club, where every party was more like an afterparty, and the bpm rarely exceeded 110. The great secret of the truth (Pravda in Czech) has been revealed.

Its continuation brings us to Prague, where Marie soon acts as a pleasant refreshment in a city full of monotonous techno. She quickly gets her bearings, and her refined tracks can be heard on her show Narrativ on the Punctum radio. A couple of years of hard work spent on the internet searching for the out of ordinary music and mixing it in her home studio are finally bearing fruit: the first big gigs are coming up, as well as residencies at Ankali and Planeta Za. She recently became part of the international exchange program Gravity between residents of Jasna1 club in Warsaw, Revier Südost in Berlin and Ankali in Prague.

But her story doesn't end there. It is just beginning. Her dance sets can be fierce and uncompromising, and conversely, the listening ones will take you over the valleys and ridges of your long journey. In both of these positions, you never know what she's going to blast you off right now.

Ahead of joining us for his 4th Origins show this December to close out the 10 Year series, Vlad is up next for Tapes #81.

As one of the finest selectors of hidden musical gems, he has kept his focus on music, especially the dark and often psychedelic sounds that lurk in its unexplored corners. Whether he’s broadcasting on the radio or piloting the dancefloor, Ivkovic is someone who applies a curatorial mindset and a deep love of music to all of his creative exploits. Yes, he’s a DJ, but he’s so much more than that; he’s a storyteller, a connoisseur and, most importantly, an artist.

The next instalment in the Phase Group Mix series is delivered by dear friend and contributing artist to the label, Low Bat. 

Low Bat lives amongst the black coal hills of northern France. When he isn’t marking textbooks and exposing Neue Deutsche Welle to the classrooms, the French DJ, musician and teacher keeps himself busy playing with his band Jean Luc, co-running the Yellow Light of Death festival and curating radio as 1/3 of the team behind Tblisi’s Mutant Radio. 

On top of this, he makes up 1/2 of Lowspace, the newest additions to Phase Group, who’s split tape with Lostsoundbytes will be coming out in December

His Phase Group Mix is a masterfully sequenced mad ride through post punk, psych rock, French trip hop, and proto trance. Thanks Louis!

Berlin-based MINOU ORAM [LYL / Cereals] is a DJ and producer  blending music over many decades and styles between  meditative serenity and dazing temper in quest of  evoking catharsis through sound. In her boundless sets she draws upon a wealth of musical influences roaming  through the abysses of abstract electronica, cosmic and  tribal timbres, industrial post-disco, alienated pop,  personal field recordings and more. 

In 2016 she founded the FEMDEX project to promote gender  diversity in electronic music, since 2017 she hosts  the bimestrial show SVVENIR on the French radio station LYL and 2022 she joined CEREALS, a collaborative practice for music, art and design.

We're super geeked to welcome Ninasupsa aka Nina Bochorishvili to the GF series this week. This immensely talented DJ is one of the founders of Mutant Radio and a resident DJ at Bassiani/Horoom in Tbilisi. Together with an impressive team consisting of Tata and many other talented individuals, this forward-thinking crew bootstrapped an online station and grew this into one of the most prominent platforms in the scene. It's set up in a wagon and located at a former power station in Tbilisi, Georgia. Here they've crafted and developed their distinct mutant sound and host radio shows by Low Bat, who is a key contributor to the station, Diamin, Sons of Traders, Newworldaquarium, Robert Bergman, our own Bertram, and many others. They also invest heavily in their local community and never shy away from sharing their political views. Whether hosting takeovers in Garage Noord here in Amsterdam or Sameheads in Berlin, Ninasupsa and her team continue to spread the mutant gospel and we couldn't be happier about it. Lock in for an hour-long trademark mutant experience brought to you by one of the most exciting DJs out there.
