Premiering releases of established labels is definitely a great responsibility. A challenge that, of course, we feel an enormous pleasure in accomplishing. We have a confession, though: Every time we are requested to review a track of the very first release of a new imprint, we feel something else, a different kind of bond as if we were going to be part of the history of the new project forever. With the kick-off of Spazio Label, things would not be different: We feel truly honoured for having the privilege of reviewing a piece of the Russian platform’s debut release. And what a debut!

Featuring 12-made-with-love cuts, soon available in K-7 and digital formats, the volume one of the VA “Spazio Invasore” showcases the rich sonority of the project by bringing together friends & resident DJs and their respective contributions: Nu Disco, New Beat, Indie Dance, Proto House, Neo Italo, and Modern Disco were brought the party.

The theme we were solicited to present, Bogdan Ra’s “Royal Flush”, is a game-winner. Beautiful arpeggios, melodic guitar riffs, dreamy pads, frolic percussive elements, and a dynamic bassline set the mood of the funkiest theme of the compilation.

It´s not really a coincidence, since the Paris-based artist is about to release his first track on the label, a remix of @pyrame´s upcoming track "Senses High". 

Except the unexpected -  or rather  - don´t expect anything else than a gem from the talented producer. More on that in the weeks to come. 
In the meantime, La Mverte delivers a groovy mix - with that idiosyncratic touch that characterises the artist -  for our "Asymptotic Disorders" series . You will feel at home from the first to the last minute. Well, at least we do, to our greatest delight. Do you?

Martin Noise is a DJ / Producer from Buenos Aires, based in Barcelona, dedicated to the research and the experimentation of new sounds oriented to the dancefloor. From downtempo songs to listen at home, through music inspired by the new wave, the creative force of the jungle, the power of organic elements and psychedelic experimentation to the most convincing music for the club.

He is one of the founders of Playground Records and its current director.

After playing and producing different bands of rock, punk and post punk in his native city, he launched his career as a DJ and after some years playing he moved to Barcelona.

Nowadays, he is focused on his own productions, releasing music not only on Playground Records but also on Calypso, Hard Fist, Ombra International, Duro, Logical Records, Night Noise, Nein, Controlla and Lassi International.

MIJU is a DJ from Belgrade, residing in Vilnius, Lithuania. MIJU is a resident of Opium and Gallery1986 clubs in the capital and has monthly shows on Radio Vilnius. 

MIJU guides her musical direction by seamlessly blending in fractions of breakbeat, electro, house and acid, accompanied by melodic and minimal undertones. What distinguishes her selection is her determination to create the unexpected and eclectic twists and turns which resonate between the boundaries of old and new. In her view, electronic music is expression of freedom and dancing is setting you free. MIJU’s been dedicated dancer and electronic music lover for years, and this grew into a desire to offer her selection to the dancefloor. MIJU's sets are always playful and her main goal is to push for that extra dance step.

MIJU played almost everywhere in Lithuania, in its capital Vilnius and second biggest city Kaunas in Lithuania, including Lizdas club, Ant Bangos festival, Clockwork Orange Halloween Rave, LOTAS Fest, Peronas, Post club, Haxan has tributed her curating skills at the Main stage of Yaga Gathering, and is a member of Burning Man community in Lithuania.

Apart from Lithuania, MIJU played in Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Cyprus, Serbia, Latvia, Montenegro. This year, MIJU has just released her first EP ‘Metatron’ for the Belgrade-based label headroom rec. Within the first month of the EP release - it was already played Berlin's hotspot HÖR, NYC’s favorite Lot radio, Rinse France and Kiosk radio in Brussels. German-based Groove Magazine, pronounced ‘Metatron’ 18th. amongst top 30 winter electronic music releases in 2022 together with producers such as X-coast, Nikki Nair and more. Her showcase at ADE took place in 2022 under the EXIT festival. MIJU had her radio shows at Amsterdam's vinyl shop Mary Go Wild, French Ola radio and Brussels-based Kiosk Radio.

MIJU shared decks with Dixon, Kim Ann Foxman, John Talabot, Daniel Avery, DJ Nobu, Elena Colombi, Identified Patient, mad miran, ISAbella,, Kino Todo, Prins Thomas, Lauer, Manfredas, Perel, DASCO, Kiril Shapovalov and many more.

Apart from being dedicated music selector and dancer, MIJU is a feminist(she/queer) and claims space for female artists and promotes true values of rave on the dancefloor.

Today on Planet LAYER we're lucky enough to follow Blackprotocol. The Belgrade-based DJ expanded the erotic-tempo sets praised by the audiences of Dim bar in Belgrade to wide recently, appearing at Drugstore's pumping MRAK and Putnik parties. During his residency at Dim, Blackprotocol summoned a steady following into otherworldly mid-tempo hip lubricants and full-on trance states.
