No anniversary release would be complete without a signature track from Innershades. He has been a cornerstone of the label since day one. Betonkust embodies our Dutch-Belgian connection in many ways and with Breezeway Cafe he delivers yet another melodic gem. Brussels Based dj and producer DC Salas is the new kid on the 9300 block. WPP stands for Witness Protection Program — a labour of love and a lab for incubating lovely music. Since 2021, it has operated as a space for artists who wish to remain anonymous and release music they might not be able to share otherwise. A Workshop for Phantom Producers, where the focus stays on sound, not identity.

Alien Bells revolves around a synthesized metallic motif that climbs and dips in pitch, generating a steady sense of motion through unfamiliar terrain. The track feels suspended in low gravity, with each percussive chime echoing like a coded transmission from elsewhere. Drawing from dub, krautrock, new disco, and acid, without sounding quite like any of these, it’s a mind-altering belter built for adventurous dancefloors.

Drum grooves left behind on the disk drive of an old SP1200, a rusted spring reverb and crates of dusty records, all boxed up in a distant relative’s workshop. @commandd has uncovered the first tracks in a series of forgotten gems of a distant relative, a craftsman inspired by the raw style of 90s house and techno.

On a mission to keep dancefloors moving, this long-lost relative’s productions find new life, with a hope to travel from city to city, deejays responsible for carrying sounds forged in the fire of an undeniable groove. 

The Vibesmith is the work of an alchemist with the freedom to embrace imperfection and find solace in tradition.

With no concern for passing trends, the Vibesmith went about thankless work at the forge, the fruits of their labour finally available for all to taste.”

Command D presents ‘Fever’, the first in a series of releases under his no muss, no fuss imprint ‘The Vibesmith’. Taking inspiration from Junior Byles’ 50s era joint, also called ‘Fever’, the track is a reinvigoration of an inescapable vibe sure to capture the attention of any willing dance floor.

The smith forges on, with no doubt many more to come.

Humble B Flats - Blessings of Sun double disk, coming out on Pond Life Records is a sonic spiritual voyage and document of the artist's last three years, overcoming grief and challenges - while deepening a sense of gratitude for the teachings and learnings along the way.

Musically this has translated, to a beautiful series of works, inspired by musical cultures around the world, this Deep House album is infused with jazz, psychedelia , tribal and heartwarming sounds and grooves.
