Spanning brooding lysergic visions and locked-in dance floor hypnosis, expect drowsily impressionistic soundscapes and darkly cinematic gear across the 9-track duration. Total sonic immersion for the oddballs and the freaks.

Terraforming uncharted alien terrain, tracks like ‘X-Side’ and ‘Upper Limit’ descend into sprawling, widescreen exploration. Fathomless landscapes serving as vessels for deep introspection. ‘Enigmatic’, on the other hand, opts for detail and precision-tooled dynamics while retaining that same wide-eyed sense of wonder. Where ‘Dragonfly’ offers fractal fuel for ceremony and ritual, ‘Cloudhopping’ and ‘Psy-Fi Alien Dub’ wade knee-deep through some dub techno murk. Saving the direct and tunnelling for last, 'Banshee' and 'Chrysalis' are like two sides of the same proggy coin; one ominous, the other more optimistic and utopian.

London and Stockholm collide in an explosion of mysterious psychedelia. Megababes welcomes Kajsa Villius to the trance sphere, collaborating across 890 Miles with label boss Kitsta.

Kajsa Villius and Kitsta’s ‘KK1’ opens the EP on with a hard-hitting psy kick and a pulsing bass down low. Cut-up, synth-like vocal samples wriggle above among its stripped-back percussion before ‘KK2’
brings in mysterious melodies, wonky vocals and hypnotic bass, culminating in a whirlpool of psychedelic acid elements.

Kitsta’s solo track ‘Karma Baby’ follows up their collective offerings with racy low-end and earworm melodies before breaking down slow-mo style for the finish. Closing out the EP, Villius delivers ‘K Effect’, a
true ode to modern psytrance-infused house music with tripped-out high-end and layers of driving rhythm and bass.

The ‘890 Miles’ EP by Kitsta and Kajsa Villius follows up the ‘Get Ready’ two-tracker released by Balamii and Voices Radio resident Kitsta last year. This next entry on the newly formed label welcomes Stockholm artist Kajsa, a DJ and producer on the radar of renowned international DJs like D.
