MRG014 a New Wave, EBM and Electronic compilation composed of six tracks.

The side one features artists who already appeared in Marguerite discography. A1 opens up with ‘Noi Non Ci Saremo’ a bruise of nostalgic, new-romantic and dreamy 80s vibes from Diana Berti - @violet-poison, followed up by Black Dot’s ‘Recurrent Disorder’ with occult spoken-word intonation of @yasssa reminding of John Balance, over acid bassline, electro beat and syncopated noises by @allegedwitches. ‘Unknown Faces’ close up the A side - an EBM track with a killer raw beat and distorted bass ready for sweaty dancefloors from the label heads duo @bianconegativo. 
Flip side is unwrapped by one of the synth pioneer and UK based artist @timothy-j-fairplay with ‘Love Boat For Four’ that drags you straight into a sci-fi movie fiction with the 8 bit electronic synths. B2 is Highest Bidder from Harlem Electronics, a seductive minimal rhythm with a dark undertone. The journey ends with ‘Svart Magi’ an hardware industrial jam by the Swedish producer @celldod.

Having witnessed Autumns' journey from the early days of his career, starting with his first shoegazy and noisy record on wax, this DIY raw recording captures the essence of his recent live set. Recorded on October 13, 2023, at Sameheads in Berlin, Germany, during the High Entanglements club night, the lineup included Autumns alongside Misonica and Minou Oram.

Autumns' performance is nothing short of powerful and punchy, characteristic of his signature style. For those fortunate enough to have experienced his live shows, the set is a testament to the intense energy he brings, reminiscent of a punk moshpit. Autumns is not only an electrifying performer but also a prolific producer, with an impressive discography featuring releases on renowned labels such as Downwards, Death & Leisure, iDEAL, Opal Tapes, Detriti, Touch Sensitive, Veyl, and Meta Moto. Additionally, he has embarked on a new project titled Vacant Heads, in collaboration with his friend Oliver Ho, well-known as Broken English Club. “Owelle": frenchified word derived from the English expression “Oh well”. Repurposed by Valérie Siron as her pseudonym to reflect her work ethos: serious, but without making a fuss.

Surfacing from Geneva’s club culture with a graphic design background, Owelle’s drive to synergise the audio and the visual power her expression of creative identity. Her compositions are imagined and built without boundaries, albeit replete with nods to previous genres ranging from early 2000s breakbeat, braindance and broken beat techno.

Intrigued by sensory immersion, Owelle further laces her art with interactive tools including programming, sound spatialisation and installation. Diving into a spatiotemporal journey, subtly incorporating their uses into her musical works. By blending her passion for diligent sound designing, field recordings and psychedelic vocals is how Owelle presents her approach to experimental music. 

Owelle’s creativity offers an intrinsic connection of her tailored rhythms and melodies to birth an original hybrid of sound and visual art. Owelle questions the importance of sound in relation to the individual’s environment. To blur the border between noise and aesthetically pleasing. To ride the waves between discomfort and delight and to find the potentially hidden role of situational awareness and relating it to musical endeavours derived from the
emotions within.

Bianco Negativo, an Italian duo with releases on labels such as Syntetyk, Kri, Lunacy and their very own and very neatly crafted Marguerite Records. The Milanese duo feels most at home between dark synth-wave and EBM and runs a radio show at Rinse France and LYL radio.

Lukas Akata is the co-founder of Frankfurt based collective and event series
"Project Operator".
Over the years, Lukas Akata has fine-tuned his own individual DJ style, which is a
blend of bass-heavy Electro, Breakbeat and Acid featuring subtile EBM
influences.
Dutch westcoast and Detroit inspiration breathe raw energy into his sets. Each
performance is a journey along the darker, more intense side of electronic
music, featuring dark basslines, retro synths and driving percussions.
In addition to his DJ performances, Akata is also a prolific music producer. He
works intensively with hardware synthesizers in his studio to create his unique
sound. His EP "Pressure Zone" is a standout example of his creative work, mainly
falling into the IDM, Breakbeat, and Electro genres. More productions are
planned for later this year.
As the co-founder of Project Operator since its launch in 2018, Akata has been
keen to challenge musical status quos within Frankfurt. This event series
happens every few months and is a paradise for lovers of underground
electronic music. Through the careful crossovers of line-ups, his selections
always keep genre boundaries unscathed, putting quality and innovation into
the front row, catering to an open-minded audience.
