Emerging from the ever-evolving world of Free Love, Lugas Europ delivers Horse Manure (Savoury Version)—a raw, percussive HEAVY DISCO transmission. Fusing the sweat-drenched urgency of early 2000s bands like The Rapture, the dub-inflected minimalism of Greenock’s own Robert Rental, the industrial funk of Crash Course in Science, and the warped groove of Black Devil Disco Club, the track distills a stripped-back yet relentless momentum. Jagged basslines, urgent rhythms, and hypnotic textures collide, pushing forward with uneasy propulsion.

Out Friday, 31st January on Full Ashram Records, Horse Manure arrives alongside an alternative Sweet Version edit. Cryptic yet direct, its lyrics—"Horse manure, acid and pepper spray / Heavy on my eyes, hard for you to swallow"—capture a detached unease, circling within its tight, relentless structure.

Recorded at Full Ashram Celestial Garden in Glasgow, Horse Manure marks the first in a series of forthcoming releases from Lugas Europ. Beyond his own music, he also directs GLOSS, the UK’s first non-profit, artist-led electronic music library.

Drawbridge - Summoning Of The Toad [10.005]

The story of Drawbridge and Electric Shapes is unique from the very beginning. Unlike many other artists, Drawbridge was the one who reached out to us directly, sending his demo. From the very first listen, it was clear that we wanted to release it — and that record became the starting point of a warm and fruitful collaboration.

The release quickly proved to be one of our most successful, opening the door for other French artists to join the label. The cover artwork, created by designer Del.Duc, also marked the beginning of a lasting collaboration, as he went on to design for many of our future releases.

Almost immediately after the release, we had our first joint performance in Paris at Point Éphémère. Before the party, Victor even represented Electric Shapes on Rinse FM, playing a b2b set with STL-P, which made the whole experience even more special. Afterward, we enjoyed an unforgettable stay at the artist’s apartment deep in the forest, inside a castle. Long walks through the mountain ranges, time spent in nature, and countless moments of joy only made our friendship stronger.

When we returned to Vilnius, we knew without a doubt that we had to invite Victor to Lithuania as soon as possible. This led to two performances: one in Klaipėda at club TEMA, and another in Vilnius at SODAS2123. With each step, our connection grew deeper.

Obviously, we asked him to produce a track for Unreleased Territory. And when he made a killer remix for Jokios Kultūros’ track Living By The River Jūra, the result was so insane that Dovydas asked Victor to do another one for his new track from the EUFORIX EP.

So the collaboration naturally evolved into something we can truly call family. That’s why it was only natural to invite him to be part of this special edition of Unreleased Territory.

UT6⚡️Drawbridge - Flower Climbing [Electric Shapes]

Avec « Par-delà les sens », le DJ Atavi lance son nouveau label Essential Delights Records. Pour cette première sortie prévue le 28 octobre, 19 artistes de la scène française sont rassemblé·es à travers 16 tracks de techno mentale et hypnotique, trance, bass deep et expérimentales. On y retrouve notamment Hayashi, 44hz & Soām, LITTLEFISH, Catartsis, mais aussi de jeunes talents issus de collectifs émergents.

Aujourd’hui, on vous dévoile la track d’intro de la compilation, « Bestiary of the Enchanted Forest », fruit de la collaboration de Drawbridge et Pal Parallax. Avec une inspiration dub très claire, les deux producteurs ont mélangé leurs univers en expérimentant autour d’une ligne de basse jouée au Moog, sur laquelle se posent différentes textures, éléments harmoniques et même une voix énumérant des bestioles imaginaires.

À travers ses projets, le label cherche à se concentrer sur des sonorités mentales et prône des ponts entre les genres, se détachant des tracks purement pensées pour le dancefloor.

Die Orangen, aka aussie producers Dreems & Kris Baha are teaming up for the first time with 2 new unreleased jams under their new alias. Slow and atmospheric, yet punching and grooving Die Orangen managed to meltdown genres into 100bpm 11 minute long trippy trancey bonanza with a substantial amount of jungle psychedelia and heavy drum machines. One Day in Sheperton is a more drum oriented industrial power house tune. With the diggerido and distorted voices coming in towards its 2nd half. This ep includes, as expected from the Malka Tuti crew, with awesome remixes by Italian maestros Fabrizio Mamarella (of Slow Motion records) and Alessandro Adriani (of Mannequin records), Oodandatta Rain is an ep that throws the listener back to the early days of partying in Anjuna beach, when trance was not yet a genre, but a state of mind, and where the "tribal element" could be found in all sorts of bizzarre contexts and remote corners...

Working with yet-to-be-discovered Scottish artists as well as established and revered acts like Justin Robertson and Tom Blip who have already graced the venue’s DJ decks, no other track summed up Paradise Palms' mission in 2017 quite like ‘I See You In The Shrubs’ by Edinburgh enigma Eyes of Others. 

A woozy, pulsing jam; equal parts of nervous energy and stoned groove - ‘Shrubs’ immediately received a cosign from Paris’ Les Yeux Orange and made its way into a highly respectable group of DJs’ sets. Andrew Weatherall has since taken things a big step further and reworked ‘Shrubs’ into a sprawling 8 minute journey of his own, backed by live drums and deep sub-bass while Donald Dust’s ‘Other Thumper’ ups the energy with playful NYC post-disco style and psychedelic percussion.

Brainchild of Multi Culti A&R, Sascha Funke and Niklas Wandt were introduced by Dreems, who charted a course for the seasoned Berlin-based producer and funky multi-percussionist and singer. 

Wandt was just about to enter the scene forcefully with his collaborative 2LP with Wolf Müller and the debut single of his band Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge. In the icey cold of his warehouse rehearsal space, Funke had him record a variety of slapped, bowed and scratched percussions (congas, talking drum, prepared cymbals played with a bass bow) over his tracks. These first efforts were later expanded into joint sessions at Sascha's home studio and, within a few weeks, the journey reached it’s destination: Wibe strasse, Deutschland.

At first glance, they seem an odd couple: a techno veteran of almost thirty years meets a side-burned upstart socialized in Free Jazz and Krautrock. but the shared sonic influences come through in the hypnotic, dubbed-out sound, perhaps rooted in the close connection the two share to the Rheinland region in West Germany, Funke as part of the Kompakt family and Wandt by origin and socialization in the Cologne and Düsseldorf music scene centered around the Salon des Amateurs. Regional flavours, global appeal. Multi Culti, promoting local collaboration, one freaky record at a time.
