Emerging as one of the most vital producers from South America to Europe, Filmmaker is back on Veyl with the new album, Fictional Portrayals. Recorded in his home country in Envigado, Colombia, the release delivers 8 tracks of raw, body pursuits proving yet again that he remains at the forefront of EBM, industrial, wave and beyond. While always carrying the producer’s soundtrack influenced sound, the LP kicks off with the haunting 'All About That Pyramid' moving next to the title track’s driving energy while then shifting to the more cerebral programming of 'Possession' ft. Bad Faith Actor. 

Things are just picking up with club decimators like 'Splitter' and 'Immune to Propaganda' while also switching moods with the more sinister 'Orphic Eggs' and the mesmerizing 'Continuity'. Rounding out the release is the cold, emotional ride of 'Far From Prospect', leaving us with a sense of dread while simultaneously questioning just what is fact and what is fiction - something we never quite know in today’s multi-dimensional existence.

Pierre Berge-Cia presents his new release “Nuovo Sole” which will be out on April 28th, 2022 on Sinister Desires. Made up of 3 original tracks, this powerful EBM-influenced EP was tailor-made to destroy clubs around the world.

Remixes by Harsh R, MAN2.0, Noform, Penelope’s Fiance and swærm, are combining downtempo, dark electro and body techno, creating an eclectic release by bringing unique atmospheres to each track.

Produced in several phases, the EP was inspired by natural sounds mixed with mighty textures, a clever combination reworked in studio to get the best out of each mix: “I took advantage of an isolation in the countryside to refine each piece. During this period, I made sure that my music was not biased by any outside influence. Knowing Sinister Desires’ vision as a label, I tried to work with creative sound design techniques, especially with the use of the natural sounds that surrounded me. » Pierre Berge-Cia

How can one keep itself intact? On his first release through 6 Plusten Records, Meduna insists on revisiting himself in search for an unknown sound. If on his previous two Eps, ‘Sanatório’, via Brazilian label Gop Tun, and ‘Casulo’ (self-released), he manifested more of a psychedelic and an acid approach to synthwave and synthpop, this time his distorted 808 beats and howling timbres translate to an electric atmosphere, opening for a broken or torn state, in a movement to let itself dismantle to, who knows, get rebuilt. ‘Desmantelo’ is composed by two tracks, “Nafiltida” and “Henxakake”, flanked by a remix by fellow Brazilian experimental artist Quizzik.

Meduna is the solo project of Ramiro Galas, a Brasilia-based electronic music producer. Forged in difficult times, periods that often come and go, Meduna, named after an old sanatorium from Ramiro’s hometown, started as a creative self-storage for confusing emotions transformed into art. After a while it took shape and, what once served as medication, became sustenance. Nowadays, to invest in this project in search for such a personal sound, is one of the goals of this young musician, who is also part of the duos Forró Red Light and Pílula Project.

Premiere CF: Swærm — Wanting [N.I.M Tapes]

Pinorama is very excited to release this second EP of remixes from Ruben Kielmannsegge's Kingdom! We could call this the "animal ep", as both songs remixed use the animal realm as a metaphore to talk about human behavior.

Now, about the producers and artists here:

Ivan Smoka is a producer and DJ from Madrid now based in Alicante, an artist with a long career and an enviable musical background. His productions are supported by music gurus like Tim Sweeney or Bill Brewster. Projects like Gatos Negros, Disco Felino or Dr3am show that Ivan in the studio is like Spock on the Enterprise, he really knows the machines and speaks to them in a friendly way.

Rubén himself has another aka, Kielmann (the one he uses when he is remixing), one more for his collection of alter egos (Watch TV, Rock Serling, DYOR), undoubtedly the result of having read too many superhero comics in his childhood. Ruben has produced music for a long lists of artists (Quantic, Tony Allen...) and labels (Compost, Schema, Hotel Costes).

Parissior is one of those restless guys who’s always doing things, both as a producer and as a DJ he has done a lot. Since opening one of the most interesting clubs in Salamanca (Clavel Ocho) to founding his own record label (Espacio Cielo) he’s had time to produce for labels and artists from everywhere. Names like Nein, AEON, Melopee, Kendal or Freudenthal are on his list of collaborations.

Cover art is by Chéfer Cúneo, argentinian painter, and it is an intervention on the original cover of the album, like a visual remix. We find that the vision of the artist is very interesting and it goes way beyond the vision of a cool designer, or at least it takes you away from your comfort zone. And we believe that's a good thing.

The cheeky Philippe Brown—member of the duo La Punta Bianca (released on the Berlin label Detriti), who also operates as a crooner under the pseudonym of ‘René Couteau,’ and a dance-music producer under ‘Raymond D. Barre’—unlocks this once lost attaché case, music that is irresistible! From the top of his North-east Parisian control tower, he ironically fantasized about a life in business class (disastrous carbon footprint to boot), going from one retro-futuristic air terminal to the next. He soothes his jet-lag with his faithful Juno 106, and his Vermona drum machine. He breaks out the base for the most epic moments of this espionage-laced thriller: Think subtle glances on long-distance flights, check-ins and check-outs last name first, airline seats covered in moleskin, microfilm concealed in hidden compartments, one-night stands through veils of cigarette smoke.

When Make A Dance heard the demo for ‘Line The Cows’ they knew there was scope to collude. Make A Dance get to work on the remix package with broken beats and arpeggiated baselines, turning the track into a dark twisted monster fit for a 4am bass bin workout.

Regis compiles a killer Downwards label survey for 2017 featuring exclusive new material from DVA Damas, Autumns, Grebenstein, Seefried and Layne, veering from dank EBM to collapsing industrial structures.

Downwards send their new vanguard on road with The Immortal Eye; the mood is intensely depressive and pessimistic throughout, but, in the classic sense of gothic industrial music, the impeccably maintained atmosphere conversely acts as comfort or redemption to those need it. 

Berlin’s Jan Grebenstein remerges with Seefried on the tunnelling Wufferfraction only months after their excellent Strong Proud Stupid and Superior 12”. Imagine an anxious HTRK or ToC have just run out of downers and the technoid tension becomes palpable… before, the uncomfortably stark, empty-stomach concrète churn of Layne’s Love will put you back face down again. 

Autumns have flirted with Clan Destine and CF Records since their Downwards debut of eviscerated shoegaze in 2014, but they enter the B-side with a markedly different silhouette, framing spectral electronics and unheimlich voices in acres of negative, miasmic space before slipping into a pulsing techno trajectory, whilst LA’s DVA Damas clear up with the erotic asphyxiation of Shortcut To X, which is effectively a crushing reduction of by now familiar sound...

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Bianco Negativo. “Sera” is the Milan-based duo’s debut debut which arrives on the forthcoming v/a compilation on Milanese label Marguerite Records. The title describes the moment in which everything slows down and takes a breath, allowing the connection between reality and dream.

“Sera” is part of the V/A compilation MRG007, composed of 10 tracks of Post-Punk, New Wave, New Beat, Downtempo and Experimental works produced by Laura Palmer, Daniel Holt, Pasiphae, Raw Ambassador, Religius Order, Gil.Barte, Le Chocolat Noir, Das Ding and Chino. The release strikes an excellent balance between emerging and established artists and the productions are as infectious as the come. 

Limited edition of 50 professionally dubbed tapes, the release is out digitally on April 12th and tapes will start shipping April 30th. Furthermore, sales proceeds will be donated to to Niguarda Hospital of Milan to assist in the COVID-19 emergency. It’s possible to donate from March 16th to April 12th through the pre-order on Bandcamp.
