Bristolian Italo producer Emmet Read delivers his debut solo 4 track EP.

Inspired by the likes of giorgio moroder, clio, mr flagio and more, this EP uses famous synthesisers from the 80s and brings it to the present day italo revival.

Emmet Read is the Italo solo project from Producer Oliver Read. A decade producing and DJing in Bristol, he is no stranger in the field.

All in all this EP is designed to bring joy to dance floor.

Sometimes she felt she belonged up their amongst the stars; earth wasn't for her, she didn't feel as though she belonged anywhere. Could technology make it possible and were money no option, she'd have packed her bags long ago and headed far above the planet. For now she'd have to continue to dream. 

R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings keep up their stellar output with a new release from Reflex Blue, a new name on the block in Australia. The label have long been one of our go-tos for a solid dose of house, electro, techno and breaks; and this new instalment doesn't disappoint. Chock full of progressive trance-tinged house and cosmic driving earworms, Reflex Blue proves why Australia has become such a great export of these proggy, sub-aquatic sounds in recent years.

A kite is a tethered heavier-than-air craft with wing surfaces that react against the air to create lift and drag. A kite consists of wings, tethers and anchors. Kites often have a bridle and tail to guide the face of the kite so the wind can lift it. Kites is also the title of the premiere by Zurich Dada.
The track takes us back to the darkest depths of the retro future from Zurich Dada a Portuguese Synth Pop duo who take inspiration from quantum physics and the multiverse theory as much as they do from Depeche Mode or the Human League the track itself reinvented reworked and reconfigured by Anbau, the Catalan stalwart of Aspecto Humano.
In a kicking rewiring with a gorgeous vocal performance, tough drums, melodic analogue synths in a digital age. This is going to fly.

Belgium via France, Emilio van Rijsel delivers four atmospheric Italo Disco gems with a hot analog remix from Claptrap boss Vanity Project for his forthcoming release on the British label XXX, managed by REES. Resident DJ at Welcome To My Flat, Emilio has always been keen on electronic music since he was a little kid thanks to his dad's collection of New Wave and 80's Electronica, besides being fascinated by Soul and Funk Music on his mother's side. It was only a matter of time until Emilio grew fond of House Music. 

As he joined the Welcome To My Flat Collective in 2013 to help out in its development, he started playing and mixing at smaller events and parties. Through the years, as he improved and the collective grew, he has played in several venues such as Magazine Club, Gare Saint Sauveur, B-Floor, Aeronef, Les Halles de la Filature etc. and was booked to play in some major events such as N.A.M.E Festival, Les Nuits de la Filature, Soundlux, Lille3000, and Run Deep Festival. Now he makes his debut as a producer with inspirations from all the genres House Music has to offer.

The track we chose to premiere, “Warme Wafels”, brings Italo Disco at its best. The characteristic elements of the beloved genre – the throbbing bassline, the arpeggiated synth layers, the upbeat percussion – are there. The only thing missing is the cheese: No catchy pop lyrics to make us sing along like if there was no tomorrow was added. But maybe it is for the best: Emilio's hot waffles would not pair well with the dairy delicacy, in our humble opinion.

Love & Danger in Paradise is an amalgamation of ZF's cultural fascinations. Inspired by likes of Vice City, Drive and Giorgio Moroder, for our annual themed compilation project, we sought out artists that create and craft neo-nostalgic sounds.

A retro musical direction drove the selection process, pulling tracks from italo-disco and indie dance genres. Each of the twelve hand-picked artists added a distinctive sonic uniqueness to the album. Cosmic, groovy and melodic club-ready works, all designed to timewarp the aural sense.

This curated collection musters up visions of midnight road trips, neon-lit city wanderings and dark disco discotheques, because in reality - what hath night to do with sleep?

People haven't even had a chance to realise that 2021 will be just as weird for the first 6 months and Frankfurt transplant Stefan Haag better known as Chinaski and professional youngster Philipp Lauer already crossed their beams to shed some light into corona-tristesse. City Galerie is a tribute to a mall in the north bavarian town of Aschaffenburg, where Lauer bought his first LPs . Straight up brutalo futuristic architecture. Boysʼ Shorts, the dance DJ & production duo founded by Vangelis, one half of
LAGASTA and electronic artist Tareq, have returned with their new EP, titled
“Together”. 

The EP includes two original tracks, one rework, and two fine remixes by the
likes of Munichʼs Benjamin Fröhlich co-founder of the ever-excellent Permanent Vacation imprint and Brazilian Berlin-based DJ and producer ROTCIV.

On the EPs opener “Sunset Flirt”, Boysʼ Shorts deliver an uplifting club-ready
tune rich in sparkling synth stabs. The result is a melody rich, synth-driven
beauty, in a late 80s romance dream. Next comes “Together”, which finds the
pair delivering a banger of a tune filled with vibrant synths and electro-tinged
beats. An addictive groover.

“Flirt Together” is a rework of the title track with elements of the “Sunset Flirt". A blend of synths and arpeggiators leading to a sublime beauty of a raveinfused slow burner. Benjamin Fröhlichʼs remix of “Sunset Flirt” is a more
upbeat and uplifting adaption of the original with a New Order-ish feel. A
carefree dancefloor delight. ROTCIVʼs remix of “Sunset Flirt” finds the Brazilian Berlin - based DJ and producer  infusing the tune with an extra dose of dancefloor power, delivering a five-minute peak-time heater.
