Having teased a selection of singles from the upcoming Feiertag album Time To Recover, Sonar Kollektiv now offer up remixes of them by Session Victim, Jimpster and Kyodai.

Feiertag is a label mainstay who fuses syncopated downtempo rhythms with international vocalists to make for exotic, escapist grooves. He has also done so for labels like Last Night on Earth and Kitsune while performing mesmeric live shows. The new album is a hugely anticipated debut that has already spawned two brilliant singles in 'Saccharine 374' and 'Trepidation' which both get remixed here.

German live maestros Session Victim are known for their superbly organic and soul drenched releases and that is what they bring with their Dubfeier Remix of 'Saccharine 374'. It is a lovely loose groove filled with sunshine, glistening chords and a subtle sense of funk that makes you want to move.

Jimpster is a bonafide UK deep house legend who has established his Freerange label as one of the best in the scene. His own gloriously musical and tender productions come laced with musicianship, as does his fantastic take on 'Saccharine 374'. It is a rich and warm upbeat house jam with nice dry hits and golden pads that ooze lusciousness.

Lastly, brotherly Spanish duo Kyodai have got a fine reputation for their work on Compost, Odori, Om and Lovemonk. They offer two remixes of 'Trepidation', firstly a ‘Missing The Dancefloor Remix’ which is surely subtle and heady, with a melodic bassline and spine tingling vocals getting you in the mood to groove. Finally, the Afro Mix is built on jittery African rhythms with life affirming jazz chords and a hypotonic flute lead that brings plenty of joy.

This is a package with four brilliantly different interpretations that all offer plenty.

PREMIERE: Feiertag - Saccharine 374 (Session Victim Dubfeier Remix) [Sonar Kollektiv]

Tour-Maubourg @tour-maubourg and Christophe Salin @christophesalin are kicking-off Salin Deep, Salin Records' sublabel dedicated to raw and dub-influenced house music.  Each record sleeve is handprinted by Daria Salin (limited edition of 300). 

The two artiss have first met in 2018 and, since ever, they have a soul-mate kind of relationship. Their first collaboration took place with the release of Tour-Maubourg’s Duophonie EP on Salin Records (March 2020). Following this, both were keen to take the collaboration to the next level by creating a mutual EP which was initially planned to be made in the Autumn of 2020 at the Villette 45 Studio in Paris. Following a certain worldwide turn of events (you know, the corona thing), this was no longer possible. As the EP's title "From A Distance" suggests, Tour-Maubourg and Christophe Salin found alternative ways to create, write and mix tracks together despite the 1000km distance that separate Paris & Lübeck (Germany). 

Salin Deep gave to both artists the freedom to discover new musical territories. Their mutual influences and inspirations culminated in an EP intended to take the listener on a deep journey, as always with Salin Records. Through the 4 tracks of the EP, the artists offer us a dark, powerful sound, oscillating between dub, deep-house, micro-house and electronica... a style embraced on the track "Doldrums" that we are offering you as a premiere here. 
 
Daria Salin encompassed the sublabel's vibe as well as the concept of 'distance' into her artwork by aggressively zooming into her portraits of Tour-Maubourg and Christophe Salin. This way, the beholder is forced to keep a certain distance if they wish to see the two faces printed on the vinyl sleeve.

Materializing in this collection of some of the outfits’ best takes (from 1999 to 2006), moments of glory and predictive flashes of genius paint a beautiful picture of what can happen if devotion and imagination are paired with moxie and skill.

Our man in London is back on the label! Exactly 1 year after his first release on Dirt Crew and two very successful records on his own new imprint “Income Trax” and the New York based “Razor-N-Tape” label. Clive has been consistently growing his following this past year and refining his sound and production. So now we are truly excited to welcome him back, especially as this release will also be on a limited 12” vinyl.

The opener “Pearls” features the amazingly talented London based musician/ composer Jessica Roch on violin and vocals. It’s an uplifting electronica meets deep house track that shines with positivity and beautiful melodies based on an analogue synth foundation by Clive himself. Truly a new addition to Clive’s musical language.

The A2 track “4 Time” is a swinging groover featuring a lush deep beat topped with piano and strings stabs and consisting of great funk all over. Followed be the super fun “Rough and Tough” as first track on then B side. Clive really gives us his new summer anthem here as far as we are concerned. Dance floor happiness guaranteed and we can’t wait to hear this one in an open field and on a big sound system!

As a treat for all fans, we decided to give “Gravitate” the well-deserved vinyl spot as the closing track to this great new record. This jam got massive support over the last months and is Clive’s best performing track on the digital platforms. Here we remastered it especially for vinyl and it sounds doper than ever! Enjoy!

We are honored and excited to present the album ‘Drum’n Voice Remixed’ by the legend Billy Cobham in collaboration with Italian’s finest music producers and composers Novecento. 

The internationally renowned drumming virtuoso, percussionist, composer Billy Cobham, has dedicated his whole life to musical exploration and creative expression. Born in Panama,  he has been surrounded by music. His father was a pianist, his mother was a singer and Billy started playing drums at four years old.  Throughout his career he has collaborated with artists like Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Airto Moreira, George Benson and appeared on over 300 recordings, including icons like Peter Gabriel, Quincy Jones, Jack Bruce, Bob Weir, and James Brown, and to date, has produced and released more than forty albums as a leader. Acclaimed as jazz-rock fusion's greatest drummer, Cobham’s dramatic, explosive power mixed with emotional spontaneity, extraordinary dexterity, and complex style of play brought him global attention and critical acclaim.  The first album ‘Spectrum’ is a masterpiece and still considered a reference album today. 

‘Drum’N Voice’ is a collaborative project with the Nicolosi family, known collectively as Novecento. After reaching the top of the European and American charts with their Italo Disco hits, they decided to explore new ideas and evolve their music leading to a jazz and ambient territory and collaborating with some incredible artists. The album, recorded between Milan, London, Los Angeles and New York, also feature collaborations with incredible artists like Eumir Deodato, Stanley Jordan, Frank Gambale, Gregg Kofi Brown, George Duke, Brian Auger, Bob Mintzer. Billy delivers an amazing creativity and listening experience that unveils its unique style in playing drums and percussions. 

The first part include two strong reworks.  Boris Dlugosch & Cassara are responsible of a stellar rework of ‘Over’ infusing that funky disco energy with their irresistible groove, a driving bassline leading to a breakdown to die for. Mark E goes deeper on ‘Sensations’ taking us on a journey. The swinging percussion,  the acid synth and the celestial jazzy sax create a perfect atmosphere.

Leo Mas and Sally Rodgers are as relevant today as they were at the beginning of the house music revolution. The former continues a legacy that began in Ibiza, where he DJ’d the most fabled nights at Amnesia and pioneered the Balearic sound, and today produces wonderful grooves together with another great Italian DJ, his longtime partner, Fabrice. The latter has cruised the fertile fields of electronic music since the late eighties, at the forefront of idiosyncratic genre offshoots like acid jazz and cosmic Balearic as a producer, DJ and singer, along with musical partner Steve, as the U.K. duo A Man Called Adam.

‘This Unspoken Love’ offers a mellow euphoria, skywards pads and pulsating bass that coaxes a sense of something eternal. Rodgers sings of unspoken love surviving and recalls that faded dream of utopia, imagined on analog synthesizers and broadcasted to pulsating crowds, all plugged into the same feeling of immortal bliss.

“The north star still shines, the dream lives on. Sometimes you just have to close your eyes to sense it.”

This release features the vocal radio edit of the track. An extended and dub version will be released in August.
