For the 11th edition of “Circulating Waves” we are happy to welcome a very like-minded musician and DJ: Kontinum.

Growing up, just like us, in an underground rave scene his dedication to Techno came through the musical driven experience of collectively transcending the known borders in devoting all energy to the moment of here and now. With his Nebula crew he shook the underground with numerous events in Leipzig and beyond.
Fastly the typical dry and straight forward club sound was wearing out for him and he was longing to create his own, deeper, hypnotic interpretation of Techno, which he got to present on well-known institutions like Agos, Lowless, The Gods Planet, Crescent London, NFEREE or Space Textures over the years. 
In 2022 his new label will see the light and we are excited for everything coming from his direction in the future!

This mix reduces Techno to its essential elements and represents his typical sound aesthetics. It relies on seemingly endless repetitive loops, deep basslines, subtle, minimalistic percussion paired with weird, psychedelic noises and ghostly arpeggios which will introduce you to a meditative yet stimulating atmosphere.

She actively experiments and gains experience, constantly pushing the boundaries of her creativity."

Apoyándonos en sus obras seminales y con dirección al minimal techno como grueso musical recorremos los avatares del minimalismo sonoro. 

Inevitable debate se abre cuando se intenta definir el minimalismo, y es que lo que para unos es mucho para otros es poco y es el observador, el que recibe el mensaje, el que tiene la última palabra para concluir si lo que acaba de escuchar estaba libre de elementos supérfluos. 

Programa donde se ensalza unos de los mantras de la vida, el menos es más, donde se resaltan los artistas que en la década de los 90 y los 2000 generaron un tipo de arquitectura y con él un sonido que no tardó en desfigurarse para dar pie a otro tipo de música que se adueñó del término, pero nunca de su esencia. 

Después de 14 temporadas seguimos dispuestos a ofrecer nuestra principal virtud a los micrófonos, entretetenerte a base de musicón y texto sin pelos en la lengua ni sesgo de proximidad. Durante todo este tiempo hemos notado vuestras atentas escuchas y hacemos radio a sabiendas que estamos en un teatro repleto y atento, cosa que el producto te agradece ya que nos inspira y nos carga las infinitas pilas con las que nacimos para esta misión.
