Zzibid was a collaboration between myself and an at-the-time friend who was a goth rocker and fellow synth enthusiast. The project was an attempt to fuse both of our genres but without really taking it too seriously, and as such we co-wrote the material, though I programmed and produced it.

Sadly, Zzibid was short lived, we created three tracks, or "jam sessions" including a pretty cool synth/vocal track before the band was broken up by a third party.

I should also take full responsibility for the cheesy organ solos in the middle :)

So I decided to put this up. Matthew Rann wrote the song while we were working together as Zzibid, I produced it and did most of the playing and mixing, but Rann had considerable creative input beyond just writing and singing the lyrics. Sadly the project was short-lived.

Composed during a very terrible time last year this song is about being raised out of murky depths.

My attempt of trying to make a pop sounding peice of music, with mouth words and mouth vocals involved. It's short, moderately fast paced, beause it is me of course the chords go off on their own weird journey to argument a shrieking lead synth. Also because it's me it's full of mellotron and there is always a musical breathing space breakdown somewhere. Both vocal parts are my own, though lead is disguised slighlty through radio effect. The song is about, it's about a dissused radio pylon that is what I sing about.
