About Orkid - Beijing was the city where Orkid (aka Ren) first discovered underground techno music. Sneaking away to ZhaoDai on Saturday nights, she would ride home in the early mornings on a Didi bike against the backdrop of a light orange sky, hair filled with scents of sweat, cigarette smoke, and glycol.

Orkid has since taken an approach to music that is sexy, silly, high energy, and genreless. In Orkid’s world, DJing is not a performance—instead, it’s a medium for creating connection rooted in people’s individuality, bringing them together as a collective breath of beats per minute on the dance floor.
