Lionel Weets is a Belgian techno and house producer. Even though he comes from Belgium, Lionel’s style has been clearly influenced by Detroit Techno and can be described as deep, soulful, and melodic with a funky touch.
You may have heard of Lionel a few years ago under the alias “MGMX,” as he was producing tribal techno tracks that were released under labels such as Patterns and Adult, to name a few.
Lionel has always aimed to create techno music that comes from the heart and decided to return to one of his early loves. As he knew he had to improve his producing skills to create Detroit-like Techno, he decided to simply stop releasing new tracks and start back in the studio. His style slowly evolved into deeper and more melodic techno, and he again began releasing EPs and tracks under labels such as Greg Gow’s Restructured Recordings, Hype Muzik and Espai Music.
Because Lionel knew his career needed to be taken to a new level, he once again started back in the studio and quit releasing music for some time. After one year in the studio, his sound matured. It became clear that there was a distinct difference between Lionel’s old releases and his new style. In response to this change, he decided to work under his real name. Lionel’s musical identity was born.
The end of 2013 and the early months of 2014 have been amazingly important for Lionel as his work has been finally recognized by some of his biggest role models. He signed 2 EPs with A.R.T., one of the most legendary techno labels worldwide and owned by one of his all-time heroes: Kirk Degiorgio. Lionel then signed his second EP with Greg Gow’s Restructured Recordings.
As these strong releases were being planned and as his dreams were beginning to come true, Lionel became more confident and started to think there may be a small place for him in the techno scene.
Then a few weeks later, Lionel signed his first album ever, on the mighty Motech Records; owned by the most famous Underground Resistance’s European ambassador: DJ 3000.
Due to his day job and lack of free time to work on his productions, Lionel made a choice a few years ago to stop playing live or performing DJ sets to focus on his production. But all in all, as a response to these new releases and the joy - or the honor – as being recognized by a few of his heroes, Lionel came back to the floors.
Lionel will also be releasing one EP on the famous KMS Records owned by the one and only Kevin Saunderson!

Phil Agosta is Detroit's New Generation of Sound.
Biography
Detroit is so well known for its unique brand of electronic music and the creation of Techno, that the term ‘Techno’ is rarely mentioned without being preceded by the name of the City itself. That said there’s one man, named Phil Agosta, who is intent on pursuing a “new sound of Detroit”.
Instrumental beats made a very early impression on Phil’s life. He became a percussionist, at the age of 5 and studied music from the age of 7, straight through to college, with the emphasis being placed on Jazz & Fusion. 

So determined to make a name for himself and to develop his own take on the Detroit sound, Phil began honing his skills on turntables at some of the Motor City's hottest nightclubs of that time. Most notably; Taboo, Cheeks, Motor Lounge, Bleu & Club Hollywood amongst the many popular Nightclubs that would come and go, in Detroit. Yet, like so much of Detroit’s DJ talent, he would eventually migrate to Chicago's thriving and storied late-80s and 90s house music scene, moving the crowd at legendary hotspots such as Excalibur, China Club and Industry.
Like many artists, the pull of responsibility and pressure to fit into society beckoned and Phil found himself in the professional world. So, with his entertainment industry experience, he went into ‘Events Marketing’, working with an array of clients from the NFL players to brands such as CART, Unlimited Hydroplanes and notable others. At the same time, he would play only for special events. However, in 2002, Phil decided that he needed to follow his passion and he immersed himself into music once again.

He has worked with a plethora of Detroit Legends such as; Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills, Kenneth Thomas, Stacey Pullen, Stacey ‘Hotwax’ Hale, Mike Huckaby, Mike Clark, Rick Wade, DJ Godfather and ‘Techno pioneer’, 
Kevin Saunderson, (he is currently an artist on Saunderson's KMS label).
Phil’s unique sound, is subtle yet densely layered with bass and percussion, that is reminiscent of 80’s ‘old-skool’ and Detroit ‘electronica’. It’s a little bit street and a little bit Kraftwerk, with a sexy kind of groove, which curiously sounds more “right now” in this era than the “back in the day” of its inspiration.
His "Tribute to Detroit" EP was released on Chicago’s KGBeats label, in June 2010. However, not just content with being a DJ and Producer, Phil is also making a name for himself in the world of remixing, having remixed “Cream” (which is currently on I-Tunes, Amazon.com and YouTube) by Carmit Bashar (formerly of the Pussycat Dolls fame). 

His latest musical outing is “Lonely”, which sees him team up with Detroit songstress Lisa Cunningham (PKA La Rae Starr). “Lonely” is on Defected Records which topped the charts at #10 in July 2013. This native Detroiter has a bright future ahead.
