Who is How Hard?

Hi, I'm Howard aka How Hard. I'm a DJ, producer, label owner, vocalist, and all around musically enthusiastic guy! As a DJ, I have traveled non-stop for over a decade while as a producer I have created, co-written, collaborated, remixed, engineered, and screamed on top of many songs. I have had the amazing opportunity to work with the brightest and talented artists in hard dance both as a collaborator and as a label owner throughout the years.

Since the age of 14, in Chicago (1997), Elekid has turned DJing into a science, mastering the art, and becoming a household name, placing him among some of the top DJs in the harder styles of electronic music in North America. Not limiting himself to just one or two styles, Elekid's wide variety and unique approach to mixing is what makes his sets memorable and loved by many. His methods of engineering sets and being able to execute with extraordinary accuracy is what has made him a sought after DJ. Elekid's breakout from the Midwest happened in 2002, and he hasn't looked back since. Playing from coast to coast, in almost every major city, and on many radio shows and podcasts, Elekid has left crowds demanding more.

In 2004, Elekid started his "Summer Vacation" series, showcasing all that he's capable of, with each one being unique, themed, and entertaining from start to finish. Every year brings a new and different Summer Vacation. One year might be Frenchcore, another Happy Hardcore, or Jumpstyle, another Breaks. These mixes are a part of a vast collection of mix compilations Elekid has released since 1997, which can all be downloaded from his Soundcloud.

In 2005, Elekid took it to the next level and began producing, starting with Hard House. In the years since, Elekid has had several releases and remixes, most notably, "Tekno Drugs", on several different labels. More recently, he has been a heavy backer for Frenchcore in America, and has been pushing the Frenchcore sound.

Civil Unrest is the partnership of DJ Pseudonym and Dr Weevil.

The Civil Unrest live show comprises of furious tekno from Pseudonym on laptop alongside Weevil's turntable skills and together they play at major Tekno events throughout Europe, Asia and beyond.

Together they draw on a huge range of musical influences to produce tracks which mash up elements of hardcore, techno, hip-hop, jungle and reggae.


Weevil is a turntablist with some impressive battle stats from recent years, including 3 appearances in the DMC UK battle finals.
Dj Pseudonym is from the infamous Tekno sound system Desert Storm originally from Glasgow.
He was part of the legendary trips across war torn Bosnia which gained the crew so much infamy.
Playing Pied Piper style In Tuzla and Sarajevo in the midst of the conflict.
Central in the mid 90's Reclaim the street's demos and a major force in the European Tekno scene, He has played at some of the most bizarre and memorable places any Dj possibly could have.

born in Chicago  raised in a southwest  Chicago  started spinning  in 1986  was mentored  by a middleschool friend  and pursued the industry, first dj opportunity/break  was in was in 1987 with legendary  bad boy bill  then worked at dj international  record store where  I tenaciously  worked with the best Chicago had to offer by then I had worked  at various  recor shops throughout  Chicago meeting various  players in the industry  I also had an opportunity  work for yhe record  label strictly hype  recordings/UC MUSIC ,   Iwas offered yhe job because  a dj attack  aka Andy  Adam's  was pleased with my work ethic in the industry. I will  continue  to play music for my fans and followers  despite my  disability.  I will keep  going strong
