Heute hab ich die zwei jungen Züricher Till & Mo für euch ausgekramt. Sie bilden seit nunmehr 5 Jahren das DJ-Duo SENTIMENT und sind bereits fester Bestandteil der Züricher Elektro-Szene. 

Sie bespielen nicht nur die fabelhaften Clubs wie Kauz, Hive, Zukunft oder die legändere Friedas Büxe, sondern haben sich vorallem durch ihre Partyreihe “Miras” einen Namen gemacht. “Miras” sind Parties in Offlocation mit dem Ziel einen Pop-Up-Club mit einzigartiger Deko, Musik und Stimmung für eine einzige Nacht zu kreieren – respekt für die große Mühe. 

Außerdem haben sie erst letzte Woche das Muyal Festival veranstaltet, ein Benefizfestivals zu Gunsten zweier Hilfsorganisationen für Nepal und Simbabwe. Feiern für einen guten Zweck … find ich super <3

Mir sind die beiden vor allem durch ihren hervorragenden Podcast für unsere Freunde von “Das hätte es Früher nicht gegeben” aufgefallen. Mich begeistert bei ihrer Musik zum einen der Indie-Pop Einfluß der 80er Jahre und die fantastische Wandlungsfähigkeit. 

So nun genug gequatsch … Ohren auf für SENTIMENT …

Welcome to Nightlife. Johannes Klingebiel’s debut on RSS Disco’s Mireia Records. 
An atmospheric journey. Melancholic, yet euphoria-inducing.
Johannes’ five tracks cast their shadows into the darkness, mirroring patches of light that can be found if you wander out far enough. 
It’s simultaneously the soundtrack of sweaty dancers losing their sense of time and place and the hopeful feeling of a new day during a drive into the first light in the hazy morning hours.

Johannes is a studied drummer. He released music on labels like Mule Musiq, Ancient Future Now and Feines Tier. He’s also one half of Alma & Mater and travels constantly with the bands C.A.R. and Vimes. Oh and he’s a great DJ as well. He probably never sleeps. That’s how he manages to capture the magic of Nightlife.

The vinyl comes in a screen printed sleeve with hand stamped labels and is limited to 300 pieces. Release 26.05.17

Recording of my set from our LOKD x Club Dihei Live Stream 
Streamed from our headquarters rooftop in collaboration with ubwg.ch to collect money for the "Stand by me Lesvos" project and to share joy with & through music

The idea for the mix was to capture the peaceful but tense atmosphere on this warm spring evening and bring this mood into every listeners livingroom. There are some strenous moments and transitions in the mix true to the current situation and the motto: we have to get through this. Even so I tried to take a calm and relaxed approach to this musical journey.
