This album Alien Na Favela was originally released back in 2012 by Agogo Records now I rereleased with my WalrusRec.


DJ FARRAPO & YANEZ
The singer/composer Yanez Servadei and Giorgio Cencetti (DJ Farrapo) met up in 1997. They immediately started a solid friendship and a musical collaboration which led them to create the “Dj Farrapo & Yanez” project in 2005. In April 2006 they recorded and produced the song "Baiano Vem", released as a single from AfroArt Records remixed by Paul Murphy in London. Two years later, in 2008, second single was released by the Italian label Tam Tam Studio. It contained two outstanding electro-brazilian cuts, one of them “Frango Assado”, specially composed by Yanez for the short film "Domingo, frango assado" directed by Federico Mutti, whose videoclip was on high  rotation on the Sky Channel of National Geographic (NatGeoMusic). Their work goes on as they publish, in 2011, another two singles, Mojito com Cachaça/Avisado Remix (Agogo Records) and Samborigeno/Oliveto with (Urban Records). Along the years they participated to many Radio and Tv shows and starred in several world-known compilations, like Hotel Costes 11, Brazilectro 10, Sambass 2, Weekend Nu Jazz 2, Wicked Jazz Sound 2, Beginner's Guide to Brazilian Lounge, Filati Pregiati Vol.2, Cinedelic Sound and Sweet Mood V.1 among others. And now what? Well... after a long work, Dj Farrapo & Yanez  are now ready with their debut LP , “Alien Na Favela”. 


ALIEN NA FAVELA
The musical spaceship of  Dj Farrapo & Yanez is ready to land in the favela, bringing to you a genuine and fresh organic mix of electro-brazilian music. In their first LP, fifteen hot tracks, including their most popular songs, showing that not always aliens come to destroy the world: sometimes they come to dance!

1 – Alien Na Favela: Galactic-Chorinho with some Samba-Hop & d’n’b elements.
2 – Tudo Vira Dança: Broken-Baião with the participation of the young brasilian singer Flora Matos
3 – Preciso Mudar: Electro-Xôte, rivisited with dub, jazz and hip hop elements. Lyrics and voice by MC Mr Magù.
4 – Mojito com Cachaça: Latin Jazz Chorinho. Good vibes with the typical melodic immediacy of Yanez's arrangements and dancehall beats contamination of Dj Farrapo.
5 – O Que Faz Viver: Acid jazz broken-beat, jokingly called “00Bossa” by Dj Farrapo & Yanez because of its “spy-like” sound!
6 – Frango Assado: D'n'B'-Samba singed and composed by Yanez and produced by Dj Farrapo, for the short movie “Domingo Frango Assado”.
7 – Engole O Sapo: Fine mixture of brazililian & dancehall with jazzy touches and d'n'b' scratchy beat.
8 – Pirasamba: Crazy Sambossa composed by Yanez at age of 17, delicious in the interpretation of Yanez and Cristina Renzetti!
9 – Avisado: Tasty Electro-Bossa and Sambaião that will make you dance “wagging your whole body at the sound of the spinning top”. With the valuable contribution of the singer Ivetty Souza.
10 – Baiano Vem Baiano Vai: Our first track, the trip of the baiano, is an engaging D'n'B with deep north-east brazilian feeling. With Ivetty Souza and Zeduardo Martins.
11 – Sertao: A nice intimate song by Yanez, with the valuable contribution from harmonica virtuoso Angelo Adamo and folkblues guitarist Armando Cantelli.
12 – Carimbò Do Farrapo: A juicy Farrapo mix, revisiting the brasilian regional style Carimbò from north of Brasil with a funkyhouse touch. Great sax solo from Guglielmo Pagnozzi.
13 – No Alto Da Colinha: reggae and rap in a love song from the carioca MC Papo Reto.
14 – Mojito com Cachaça (instrumental): To enjoy the natural flow of this track, with the precious clarinet work of Guglielmo Pagnozzi.
15 – Alien Na Favela(Ikonoclasta version): The title track of the album in the interpretation of the unique angolan MC Ikonoklasta.
