Gentle music to help you feel as free as a bird for a moment of calm. 

My newest composition was an inspired piano improvisation using a beautiful instrument from the crow hill company called Vertical Piano which has such a lovely backstory for the instrument origins and how they made it possible for composers to be able to create with it. 

I then developed my improvisation with additional instruments, cello and ethereal swell sounds.

I searched for lovely soothing calming scenes of sunny mountains and then ordered them according to the way the song evolved.

Remember When

A song for finding peace, breath by breath.

Reflective, fluid, and evocative, 'The Tides Inside' is a journey through the ebb and flow of inner emotions. Gentle, cascading piano melodies mirror the rise and retreat of thoughts, like waves shifting with the mind’s tides. It embraces the tension of anxious currents and the soothing pull toward stillness, offering a space for introspection and calm. 

Let this music carry you, breath by breath, into tranquillity.

The Tides Inside

A new atmospheric piece shaped by the ideas I’ve been exploring after Christian Henson’s masterclass. This track grew from instruments that feel almost alive -  Glass Strings, Pocket Strings, Vaults Harmonium and Vaults Beaker  - each one carrying its own inspiration.

The chords (Pocket Strings, Beaker and Harmonium) rise and fall like big breaths, sculpted with crescendos and diminuendos to create small pockets of emotion. Over the top sits a melody carried by Glass Strings, with the unlikely but beautiful support of the Harmonium.

To me this track sounds like something you'd hear from a vast, cosmic church organ - as if the universe itself is speaking to you through the sound.

Thank you for listening to my music!!!  My name is Eleri and I'm a composer and music maker, originally from South Africa, living on the Isle of Man, a small island in the Irish Sea.

I love to make music that creates moments of calm and also to help unwind ahead of sleep! The piano (self-taught) is my go to instrument for this.

My compositions are neo-classical, and a fusion of electronic and orchestral. Conveying vast soundscapes, compositions are multi-textured and layered to create ambience and timelessness.

- 'Sollys' - Short film - Interpretive Dance, Manx Nature and Heritage. IOM Arts Council commission for music. Film premiered on 23 March 2023.

- 'Wildlife Remembered' - Short film - Shifting Baseline - Manx Nature. Volunteered my compositions as contributions, and did the sound mixing for Manx Wildlife Trust's short film which premiered on 20 April 2024.

- Commissioned to compose music to celebrate the MYO's anniversary. 'Yn Jeianagh' The Final One, was performed by the Orchestra at their end of year concert on July 5th, 2025.
