Christian Smith & John Selway - Total Departure (Wehbba Edit)

Elevate release the second part of their new A Sides series and again this features three amazingly talented producers.

First up is Dutch producer Laat with 'Broken Glass' filled with sweeping intricate melodies and driving grooves. Next up is the Belgian sounds of Tom Hades with his stomping track 'Crumbling' that is a real builder of a track and should have any dancefloor literally crumbling ;) Finally from Spain we have Aitor Ronda with his track 'Tornado' with a relentless groove and spoken words layered over the top.

Fabio Neural & Fideles make their entrance to Truesoul with a two track EP - ‘Shamana’. The simple yet dynamic tracks create a consistent, feel good vibe throughout. Excellently produced and cleverly arranged, the three tracks shine a light on the trio’s ability to work so well together. The slightly more upbeat tempo of ‘Shamana’, building a slow yet enlightening groove, creates the perfect opening to the EP whilst ‘Day Off’, being the darker of the two tracks, is packed with percussion and a deep bass line.

Since his SCI+TEC debut, ’This And That’, back in 2014, we’ve seen Offenbach’s Wigbert flourish and develop
into one of the most exciting young producers of today. With a talent for exploring fresh tangents and textures
of sound, the German has become a creative conductor among his fellow minimal mercenaries. Having rocked
the recent SCI+TEC 10 showcase in Beirut alongside label boss Dubfire and fresh from the release of his
fantastic remix of Gregor Tresher’s ‘Quiet Distortion’, Wigbert now unveils his excellent new ‘Rain Shower’ EP.
The title track showcases, to perfection, the power of ‘less is more’. Single note bass stabs and bouncing
droplets create a feeling of expanse, as synth chords wash through in intense waves, building to a cloudburst
crescendo.
Adopting a similar albeit more powerful bounce, Wigbert propels us with washes of sound and rabid snares as
we take flight on ‘Airplane’, before he closes out the release with the powerful synth driven monster that is
‘Weird Chords’. Not so odd, but incredibly effective and yet another SCI+TEC stunner.

We present you three remixes from Kaiserdisco's recent Another Dimension album on Tronic. Adana Twins skillfully reworked Varuna keeping the intensity while adding their touch to it. Andre Crom delivers a nice and dark remix of Orcus, while Aitor Ronda supplied his chunky and powerful interpretation of Hydra.

Aitor Ronda’s concrete roots can be traced back to 90’s techno. His personal commitment to the mutant and clubbing techno has been in force since 1996, when he began to play his first vinyl records. It was a few years later, in 2001, after releasing his first vinyl record along with Mark Williams, Ben Sims or Paul Mac … when Aitor decided to create his own Drakos (where he signed “Trilogy” alongside DJ Rush) and Upfront imprints too. Since then the Barcelona-based DJ/Producer has built a real solid music career -accumulates 20 years of experience- that culminates now with its new brand / project: WHACK. Important to remember at this point Aitor Ronda's mastery and skills both in the recording studio – in the middle of nowhere and where he spends hours and hours- and the DJ booth. Accurate techniques acquired throughout all these years playing his sounds at massive festivals and venues as Sónar, Monegros, Privilege, Space-Ibiza, Florida 135, Egg London and many more. In the same way as critically acclaimed published on record labels such as Terminal M (Monika Kruse’s label), Filth on Acid (Reinier Zonneveld´s label), Octopus (Sian’s label), or the mighty Tronic (Christian Smith´s label) without forgetting Pig&Dan’s own Elevate imprint, where he has been piling up a quite good bundle of absolute bangers and fantastic EPs. Including “Tweezer”, this track became TOP 1 of world techno best sellers in 2018. All this has consequences: a constant presence in all the techno / clubbing charts around the world, including essential platforms like Beatport. And getting massive support from the king Carl Cox, playing his productions around the planet. Quite an ‘orchestra director’ of the 21st Century. All this hectic life has led him to a constant evolution as a producer, DJ, label manager… and of course increased his passion for what he loves most. A true leader of a barrier-free techno sound, with a respectful but winning philosophy always.
