Nina (DJ alias иιиιт'α), who is self-taught, came of age in the male-dominated early 90's rave scene, has been heavily influenced by the deeper sounds of techno, poly-rhythmic electronic music and most things unconventional. Nina, who views the art of mixing as a spiritual practice that seeks to "balance relationship to mind and body, "prefers private parties to clubs/bars where the dancing is louder than the conversation. She seeks to "reinvent the club scene to promote listening and dancing through connection and somatic awareness rather than an unconscious escape."  Her sets lean in the direction of hypnotic, layered with long transitions, telling the story of the moment, often with a dark and moody undertone that reveals splashes of light and space to feel. A life-long dancer, Nina views music as a portal into a web that connects her to everything.

Francisco Aguado debuts on Sungate with “Looks That Kill”, a three-track package comprising of two originals and one remix by Maxwell Church. The deep sounds and characteristics of “Cold Look” and “Deep Look” remain true to Francisco’s roots and influences that are greatly inspired by mid-90’s techno. Maxwell Church puts his spin on “Cold Look” giving it extra punch with his personal and groovy dancefloor-focused style.

Recorded at home during lockdown, this is my first proper solo mix which was inspired by recent sets at HÖR Berlin. “10K was originally recorded in 2017 as a simple piano-leading ambient
track during a home studio session. It was developed further only in 2020 after Simone & Luca invited me to contribute to the project. A sudden burst of inspiration came during a mix-down session when I tried to re-record the original timbre of the piano. Eventually, while experimenting, it went a completely different direction and the track turned into its present form.
