I wrote this song a few days into the initial chaos we were all snapped into with the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.  As everyone and everything started to become more closed, I had to get on my piano and soothingly play myself back into being open.  While playing this I could feel a great sense that this session was not for myself, it was for everyone.  So, I present to you "The Age of Starshine" an emotional journey of delicate piano sounds and birdsong.  A portrait of our time under the sun.

This is the intro track to my second album "Coalescence"!!! :)!!!

I wrote this song when composing music for a video project my partner and I were working on that dealt with babies.  Their curiosity and exploratory nature was infectious! 

I wanted a song that encapsulated the feelings of new life, exploration, and wander!  A song about going forth into being with no bearings and all curiosity.

My name is Elijah, and to put it simply - I LOVE to sing!

I am a singer-songwriter located in Durham Region, Ontario, Canada who draws endless influence from RnB, Jazz, NeoSoul, Detroit gospel, and then anything else that draws my attention. My entire focus used to be on just singing covers as I always told myself I couldn't write songs. That all changed when I actually tried writing songs! My voice is typically the centrepiece of my music, but I take a lot of pride with what I've written (and sometimes dance along with my lyrics too!).
