- 11. Seeking Laughter

Elis is the artist name for Eliana Fernández, a 21 year old Uruguayan female artist. Both painter and songwriter, she has independently released two albums to the date; "Insight" (2012) and "Ain't No Safety Ground" (2015).
She started playing music at the age of 13, taking part on amateur tribute cover bands as a bass player. As she started composing her first original songs at the age of 15 she began adding her songs into the live performances of one of those groups, which soon turned into her solo project.
She has been playing at local pubs and theaters since 2010 with such band formation. 
The artist music genre can be labeled as rock/pop, folk and indie music, characterized by a "expressionist and confessional" songwriting style. Her most relevant influences are both 60's and 90's brit-rock sounds.
