Episode 1 - Dating To The MAX

O...M...G! It's only the collab of the century #NaturalBornDaters
This week we had Sylvie and OM of Natural Born Haters fame (tune into their show Sundays 7-8pm on Freshair)come in LIVE from the studio to tell us all about their blind dates, and omg it was cray cray!

Sylvie was looking for her cousin Greg (not her actual cousin don't worry she's not a freak) so we sent her to Bennets with our very own Oliver... but was he her number one boy?!

Then the drama really begins when we called up Izzy to hear about her time with OM in Hey Palu. This phone call was more dramatic than Shakespeare societies version of Julius Caesar, Izzy was near poetic in her dissing of OM - seriously we were speechless in the studio! Then OM got the chance to defend herself and things really did get heated (it was heated hotties vs natural born haters 4 real) Seriously it sounds like an episode of Jeremy Kyle (rip)... you do not want to miss!

Oh also Olivers mum was in the studio - big up Kim <3

Natural Born Daters

We were joined by the lovely Mr Scruff on the 1st April for an all night long session. We had so much fun as he effortlessly worked his way through his record bag and played for almost 5hrs. Ending with Mr Scruff in the centre of the dance floor being embraced by all of his loving audience, what a night!

It is the Edinburgh fringe so of course I had to get chatting to some funny people.
Big love to Benjamin Salmon for being my first ever interview, we kept it so so real discussing everything from him being compared to Phoebe Waller-Bridge, to dating during the fringe and of course his fabulous one man show Blowhole which is on everyday at The Pleasance Ace Dome at 14:50 (it is like seriously funny, brilliant set and very very heartfelt).

Sorry guys I can't chat right now I am an incredibly busy corporate woman working a high powered HR job, it is a tough old business constantly hiring, firing, writing emails, sending emails, receiving emails... but luckily this episodes guest can truly relate, it's Alice Cockayne!!! Only the most sensational, salacious and utterly hilarious girlboss in the whole office (by the whole office I am referring to the Edinburgh Fringe).
Alice's show - I Showered Before I Came (on everyday at 22:20 at Underbelly's Wee Coo) - is seriously not one to miss, it is bizarre and so funny I almost peed. 
We had a lovely chat so I hope you guys enjoy!

Liz loves a chat... With Alice Cockayne

Guys I know what you are all thinking... is that Lorna Rose Treen from Freshair's seminal radio 4 parody show, Radio Floored?! Yes, yes it is! Since her time on FreshAir Lorna has kind of become like a major big deal so was so lovely to be able to have a chat with her! 
Her show Skin Pigeon (on everyday at 16:35 at The Pleasance Attic) is crazy good, her character comedy is hilarious and it has the most insane unexpected moment of any comedy, theatre or honestly anything that I have ever seen live (don't worry no spoilers here).
We spoke about her time at Edinburgh Uni, along with her journey to clown school and her personal beef with Ian Stirling (yes, the love island guy)
Very chuffed to have had Lorna on the show because not only has she been interviewed for the one show and woman's hour she has also completely sold out her fringe run (cray cray I know!!!) also she is just really lovely!

This week we sent FreshAir supreme leader Erin on a date with King Richard (aka Rachel) to Hoot the Redeemer on Hannover Street (we mention three separate times that the wallpaper in the bathroom is pages from 50 shades of grey so you know it's a fun place). Episode 1 - MEad & YOU

omg hey...

Welcome back to another gorg episode of it's a date (I actually think this might be favourite episode literally ever so enjoy!)

This week we sent Jonny and Meg to St Vincent's over in Stockbridge (I know so very classy) where they played what sounds like a pretty intense game of Monopoly Deal and Jonny also had two tangerines... was that a monopoly dealbreaker... listen to find out - such a tease I know ;)

I also played my favourite Eurovision song of all time 'Facebook uh oh oh' and Ollie decided to go literally crazy mental and wear his cap backwards (regular listeners will know he's a forwards cap guy at heart <3)

Episode 2 - Monopoly Dealbreaker

Yo! Welcome back to another episode of It's a Date!!!

This week we sent the gorgeous Gabby and Benjy to St Bernard’s over in Stockbridge. Benjy called in live from yummy mummy central Clapham to fill us in on all the date goss! Then we had the pleasure and the privilege of having Gabby come in to the studio for an IRL gab with us!!

There were some Beckham comparisons being thrown around but did 2 become 1?! (bad spice girls reference sorry guys!). We also had a funny chat about some terrible dating stories including the one and only time I have ever given someone my number (too embarrassing!!)

Those loyal listeners will also note that Ollie sounds a wee bit less Canadian and a lot more Hertfordshire... that is because this week we had the sweet treat of having the Chief herself... Aoife live in the studio co-hosting!!

Episode 5 - Benj it like Beckham

Omg hey guys... long time no speak!

It's a date is back on air with another blind date (omg no way!!). This week we sent FreshAir radios #number1 BNOC Daisy (from DtoZ radio!!) on a date with my brother Tom (lol... I know it is a bit weird to interview your brother after a blind date but it was funny just go with it yeah). They went to the WIldcat where Tom had a few complaints about the ice, then they headed to Bennets, then the Jazz Bar and then Stramash!! Sounded like a marathon of a date!!
