Getting the courage and confidence to find your independence to do what makes you happy can be difficult sometimes. In my case it took someone close to me to give me their complete trust and unconditional support and love to give me that extra nudge forward, which is what I needed in order to believe in myself. I will always be forever grateful for that person, for their acceptance and for their encouragement to get over my fear of judgment and failure.

Stand Up, Be Strong

I was in my late teens and at the time I had been playing around with different guitar tunings (DADDAD in this case) and came up with a guitar line that I liked. It was simple and I liked the sound of it, but I didn’t know what to do with it. It never went anywhere until a friend came over one day. He was also a guitar player, so I asked if he wanted to play and see if we could make it into something more. After an afternoon of jamming together, we had created an entire song out of that one little guitar line. We recorded it that day and have not played again together since. We never gave it a title, so I called it DADDAD for the longest time, and now I have just labelled it as ‘Instrumental Guitar Soundtrack.’ It is still one of my favourites and I love listening to it over and over.
