I wanted to write a song for 7x21 but I didn’t want to make myself sad (ishipthat did that for me ;___;)  so I was like “HEY I KNOW LETS WRITE A SONG THAT’S ALL HAPPY AND FUNNY ABOUT THE FACT CAS WATCHES THE BEES NOW”

It started out funny. I literally have no idea what happened ;___;

Nine years ago, I recorded The Castiel Song in a hotel room a few months before my junior year of college. If you've seen the video, you can tell that I'm not exactly a professional pianist or singer (the part where I messed up and posted it anyway... why did I do that...) and the fact that it resonated with so many people still brings me inexpressible joy. My time in the Supernatural fandom was and is one of the greatest joys of my life: I wrote more than fifteen more songs for the show and my favorite pairing, Dean/Cas, but more importantly, I met people who are still my best friends today. I have read all the comments and messages sent to me over the past nine years and truly cherished every one. Thank you so much for listening to The Castiel Song, for telling me you loved it, and for sharing your stories.

I wanted to post this song on Supernatural Finale Day because I wanted to say goodbye to a show that has brought me so much joy (and pain, let's be real) but this not a goodbye from me to you. I would like to keep writing and composing and singing, and I hope you all still want to hear from me after all these years. Here's hoping the finale doesn't crush us-- although we know it will-- and I'll see you on the other side, SPNFamily.
