This is a set I crafted in September 2021 for a virtual stage at BRCvr called The Oasis of Oontz. BRCvr was the AltSpaceVR world that was created by the BMOrg to provide Burners with a place to gather during the pandemic. This set originally aired on the day of the Burn. 

Collectively, many of the DJs who participated that day decided to participate in a Twitch raid train in December 2021 to re-broadcast their sets outside of BRCvr. This was the opening set for that raid train.

The set that was rumored to be for Tipper. In the Android Jones & team's MultiversalME Microdose VR CHIMERA art dome, right before Skysia & Orenda. I walked in with my gear, right place and right time, and landed the golden set time. 

This was definitely a peak DJ experience for me. I had just finished my ecstatic dance set at the yoga & movement stage, so I was warmed up and ready for this. I walked into the dome as they were kicking people up to prepare the space for the night, and intuitively asked if they needed a DJ that night, and was met with an enthusiastic YES WE NEED A DJ! I didn't have time to tell anyone, so I had a dome full of people either there to see Of The Trees, Tipper, or Skysia & Orenda, plus people who happened to gravitate to the dome at that time.

Nominus | Live Set at Envision Festival 2024 | Luna Stage

Stoked to share my live recorded tribal bass set complete with vocal and didjeridoo looping from the Portal stage at Wicked Woods Music festival 2024.

It was super rewarding to collab with @portalcrewproductions on the stage build and design again, and then play at hour set at 6.30pm on Saturday night. Much love to all the Portal stage crew and collaborators, including the @renegadesoundcollective for levelling up our stage with their amazing sound system, and props to all the homies who came out to support. This was such a special night! And one that had been cooking for months. I am so grateful that we finally made it happen. The energy in the room was palpable thanks to the amazing container setting and cacao ceremony lead by Chelsea. What an amazing celebration of life! A full night of music, dancing, aerial, performances, live painting, and so much more. Denver is one of our favorite places to play in the world. We've known and worked with Shpongle for years and opened for him earlier this year at Red Rocks when he performed with his live band.

Desert Dwellers Live @ Fillmore in Denver, CO (Dec 6th 2019)

Elkemist is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, hybrid live DJ and facilitator who plays multi-genre sets rooted in mystical sounds and ethnic flavours. With a deep love of tribal bass blended with rising psychedelic energy, his sets are curated to take audiences on a sacred journey of sonic alchemy, supported by live looping with yidaki/didjeridoo, vocals, flute and percussion.

Elkemist has contributed tribal bass sets and ecstatic dance workshops to festivals around Canada and Australia including Shambhala (CAN), Wicked Woods (CAN), Dragon Dreaming (AUS), Chrysalis (CAN), Elevate (CAN), Tribe Ascension (AUS), The Magic Garden (AUS) and Kootenay Yoga Festival (CAN). Beyond festival sets, Elkemist also facilitated a weekly ecstatic dance in Nelson, BC (Canada) called Dance Wave, as well as co-hosted regular community ceremonial gatherings, and ran a bi-weekly men’s circle.

Whether it’s a rising tribal bass journey, sacred gathering, ecstatic dance or sunrise festival set, expect a voyage across space and time, inspired by sounds from around the world to encourage dancers to move beyond the perceived limits of their bodies and minds.
