i wish my soul was made of porcelain so i could wipe it clean
i wish that i'd forget the memories that keep on haunting me
sometimes i can't accept the fact that i'm no longer seventeen
sometimes i feel the other side might be a better place for me 

i wish i was an angel and i wish that i was pure
i just miss being that little girl who everyone adored
i wish i was forgiving and i wish that i was sure 
of who i am

i just wanna be 
the colors in the sky
or the waves in the sea

don't worry,
you'll still hear from me
when you hear the sound of a windchime
or when you're reading poetry

i wish my soul was made of glass so I could easily look inside
i wish that all those parts of me that faded away never died
i love my mom and all i wanna do is call myself her pride and joy

but i,
i just wanna be 
the clouds in the sky
or the wind in the trees

don't worry,
you'll still hear from me
when you hear the rain on your rooftop
or when you listen to the sea
