It was an incredibly big honor to have been asked to be a part of the second Further Future event, even more so for the opportunity to play on the revered Robot Heart stage alongside so many DJs and producers I am personally quite fond of. I had so much music that I wanted to share, many styles and directions, so I decided (as I started my set with a homage to one of my very early electronic music inspirations Leftfield) to show a cross-section of the current vibes I like to share with you all, from the ambient intro to the final 124bpm throwback epic ‘Rave Child’ by DJ Metatron. After 8 years this is our last year bringing the Disco Knights camp back to Burning Man. I made this mix with the long drive to Burning Man in mind. Every year the drive up is a very interesting part of the journey for me… I think of it as the emotive start to the burn experience. This year in particular as it’s the last year we’re bringing our disco space ship to the playa. So the anticipation of all the memories of the last 8 years that I know are going to be flying through my mind made me want to play a set that I can rock during the drive through Tahoe hills. Not necessarily a mix of my favorite tracks played at the camp or even a representation of it, but more the feelings I’d like to remember looking back at the last 8 years.

Burning Man has always been my favorite place to DJ in the world. There's a certain feeling of freedom I experience playing music on the playa, and this feeling arises from the beauty of the physical surroundings, the enthusiasm of the people who wander onto the dance floor, and my own attitude that shapes how I approach my sets in the desert.

Thank you to the entire Kazbah crew for gifting me a timeslot. Such a beautiful group of people who created a spectacular platform to artists to share music. I hope you enjoy the recording!

Burning Man is one of those experiences that are hard (impossible) to describe when you have not been there yourself. It feels as being on another planet for a week. It feels like home. Super grateful to have been part of this journey, meeting tons of wonderful people, being hosted at the incredible Camp Alborz and experiencing true bliss every moment of the day/night. Burning Man 2018 - Playalchemist Opening - SETH SCHWARZ  (Live Recording)

If you ask anyone on the playa about DISTRIKT, they immediately smile and say, best day party on the playa! I am proud to be with a kamp of snarky folks who work hard to deliver a full bar 6 days a week and with a music line up that is always on point. I was on the build knew this year and now know a bit more of what it takes to get everything dialed in. A lot of blood, sweat, and middle fingers get this all done. There isn’t room for sensitive Sally’s and that’s why I fit in. I am most grateful for my involvement with DISTRIKT and this year I got to play on my Burnthday, Saturday, September 1st with so many of my awesome friends there with me. The crowd was gathering for my good friend, colleague, and badass DJ Ben Annand and I was ecstatic to follow his flow. I am very happy with this mix and I invite you to enjoy the journey of sounds and moods.

M.B.T.S. (Most Below The Surface) Vol.6

This was my third Burn and by far the best one I've experienced. My set at Robot Heart kicked off the proceedings on Sunday morning after the man burn and set the tone for Adana Twins, Swamy and RÜFÜS DU SOL who took it up a few notches until sunrise and beyond. You can hear some special re-edits and unreleased tracks in my set that I made especially for the playa, one of the best testing grounds for any producer! It’s always a pleasure to play for the Robot Heart team whom I’ve known for many years and to be invited to perform the past 2 years has been a real honour and I hope many more are to come!
