DECADANCE at Intercell x Dax J | Kingnight 2024

Euphoria Sessions kicks off!! I'm excited to share with you the first edition of my curated journey of uplifting and energetic techno, rave, breakbeat and hardgroove starting with the first Session at the historic longwave station “Europe 1”. May Euphoria Sessions bring you joy and good vibes wherever you are. Turn the volume up! 

The “Europe 1” long-wave transmitter was built in the 50s in Germany, just a few meters from the French border. Built as "Radio périphérique" to broadcast French-language radio to Europe, it held the title of the world's most powerful longwave transmitter. "Europe 1" broadcasted signals reaching from the depths of Berlin across Europe to the coast of Morocco.

Kiara always knew that venturing beyond Earth would change everything, but nothing could have prepared her for the feeling that space would bring with R9 by her side. "Journey Along the Giants" captures the moment they leave the atmosphere behind and plunge into the silent ocean of the cosmos, on their way to his homeworld of Threxilon and entirely new (sonic) dimensions. The journey itself would be short—it could be as long as a single track—but R9 refuses to rush. Instead, he slows the route, guiding their way past gigantic planets, dazzling stars, and colossal rings, so that Kiara can truly feel what it means to travel among giants.

Outside, worlds drift by like luminous monoliths: swollen gas giants shrouded in storms, fractured moons glowing with ice, and burning suns bathing the cockpit in gold and violet. Every object they fly past is a "giant" in its own way—in its mass, its beauty, in the gravitational pull it exerts on their senses. Inside the ship, this dimension transforms into sound. Deep, evolving bass lines echo the planets' gravitational pull, while higher, shimmering textures reflect the starlight scattered across the hull. Subtle pulses trace the rhythm of engines and hearts adjusting to infinity.

For Kiara, this journey is more than mere transportation; it's an initiation. She leaves behind the familiar hum of Earth to explore new sonic worlds aboard R9, trusting that Threxilon will one day transform everything she knows about music, connection, and the voice. "The Journey Along Giants" lives in this in-between space: the moment when fear turns to wonder, when the vastness of the universe no longer feels threatening but inspiring. This track is a slow, reverential glide past cosmic giants, a tribute to the immensity around them and the quiet courage within. Even though Kiara didn't directly collaborate on the track, it's the sound of two travelers journeying side by side through a vast universe, realizing that even amidst giants, their shared path is something truly immense.
