Elli Acula’s meteoric ascent is unstoppable, just like her power behind the decks to fuse groovy, powerful sounds ranging from Techno, Rave, Breakbeat, Electro and Jungle. In 2022 her electric energy has already thrilled dancers at Europe’s top venues like Berghain, Printworks, Glastonbury Festival, Pollerwiesen or Fabric London - on whose new record label Fabric Originals her next release will be coming up this year - as well as dance floors in South America, Korea and Australia. However, playing late night/early morning extended vinyl sets at Berlin haunts like OHM or ://aboutblank was where she cut her teeth. 

Having been a founding member of the label Spandau20 and being one of its creative directors, it was her first release on the label that set her up for what came next. “To The Peak”, the record she made with FJAAK & Ostgut Ton’s Steffi, hits just as hard as one of Elli Acula’s lauded DJ sets and was immediately picked up and supported by Techno & Electro’s greatest.

Her ability to create journeys through warped sound-design and distorted elements has become her signature. Her records have attracted an ever-growing community of loyal fans as well as the admiration of key tastemakers such as Perc, 999999999, I Hate Models, Amelie Lens, Nico Moreno, VTSS, SPFDJ, Shlømo, Cera Khin, DYEN, Adam Beyer, and more. It is no surprise then that Sara’s track for Amelie Lens’ VA for Ukraine remains the 2nd highest streaming track after Amelie’s, not to mention Sara also can be credited with the highest streaming track on RAW’s Summer Hits II VA, as well as x2 of Techno Germany’s top 10 best selling records of all time.


Sara’s success as a producer inspired her to launch her own imprint HEKATE, named after the Greek Goddess of witchcraft and wild placed. Helena Hauff (@helena-hauff) expertly curated DJ sets spanning acid, electro, techno, EBM, and post-punk. Her powerful drum beats collide with freely wandering melodies. Her debut album "A Tape" in 2015 garnered attention for its intricate manipulation of sound, where she meticulously arranges gritty and rough noises, filling in the gaps with rhythmic intricacies. Her other releases, "Discreet Desires" and the EP "Have You Been There, Have You Seen," experimentally layer and intertwine, with twisted waveforms akin to rusted artifacts, creating an unfriendly listening experience that compels bodily movement to escape Helena Hauff's auditory swamp. It evokes sounds from the Hague's western coast in the Netherlands—blending synthesized tones of Italo Disco with the gritty spirit of Detroit. She was the subject of cover features for Crack Magazine and DJ Mag, played headline sets at Sonar (b2b with Ben UFO) and Dekmantel, and at the end of 2017, Crack Magazine declared Helena "The Most Exciting DJ In The World (Right Now)" and her ballistic BBC Essential Mix was voted the best of 2017. With razor-sharp precision, her melodies redefine Electro/Techno, adhering to her signature cold and dark taste over the past decade, regardless of current musical trends. Utilizing turntables for minimalist yet forceful performances, she effortlessly navigates between peaks and troughs, even with the risk of needle skips, confidently rolling cigarettes as she cruises at high speeds between highs and lows, making her a unique and standout figure in the scene.

The iconic Ellen Allien’s journey through the years is a blueprint for a healthy underground community and grounded career in music. Her playful mind and openness to sharing knowledge, imbues her art with an energy and inspiration that’s been highly influential to the subculture across music, art, design and fashion in her native Berlin. A constant source of new ideas, energy and inspiration, Ellen’s comprehensive knowledge and intuitive approach to music is part of her genetic makeup, she has cultivated her own identity while also guiding the evolution of electronic music worldwide. Her future-facing sound takes influence from the early pioneers of techno, while painting a vivid, prophetic image of where we’re going next. Over ten albums, and countless singles, EPs, remixes and collaborations, Ellen’s carved her own niche in dark rave and techno, and presiding over a self-made empire and deep roots in the community. 

In her role as head of BPitch since 1999, and UFO Inc. since 2019, Ellen channels her ceaseless passion for digging into A&R, seeking out and nurturing new talent, alongside established artists and friends. She’s a Ellen Allien artist biography - 2023 dynamic selector who prides herself on her extensive knowledge of music and dance floors, travelling the globe as a DJ she’s played at every major club and festival on the circuit. She’s run the We Are Not Alone parties in her hometown of Berlin over the past years. The 50 hour raves over 3 floors began at Griesmühle and now home at RSO, with the party now touring worldwide. During the pandemic she channelled her energy into supporting the community and connecting with her fans over her intimate Balcony Streaming sessions, hosted from her home in Berlin.

I'm excited to share with you the first edition of my curated journey of uplifting and energetic techno, rave, breakbeat and hardgroove starting with the first Session at the historic longwave station “Europe 1”. May Euphoria Sessions bring you joy and good vibes wherever you are. Turn the volume up! 

The “Europe 1” long-wave transmitter was built in the 50s in Germany, just a few meters from the French border. Built as "Radio périphérique" to broadcast French-language radio to Europe, it held the title of the world's most powerful longwave transmitter. "Europe 1" broadcasted signals reaching from the depths of Berlin across Europe to the coast of Morocco.
