Plaid (pronounced \ˈplad\) are the London based electronic music duo Andy Turner & Ed Handley. They are two of the founding members of The Black Dog, releasing their first EP in 1989 and signing to Warp Records in 1991. They have used many other pseudonyms including; Atypic, Repeats and Balil, but have focusing on Plaid since 1995. They have released 11 studio albums as Plaid, from 1991's 'Mbuki Mvuki', to 2022's 'Feorm Falorx'. 

Various sources claim they took their name “Plaid” from the Welsh word for “Party”.

Loftus, AKA BigDumbTop, AKA DaddyBaby, current Brooklyn resident, a Virginia native turned SF sensation burst onto the scene in late 2022. He captivates audiences by crafting unique adventurous blends of cunty/bouncey bass, house, techno, club, dembow and acid, with playful infusions. 

DB's style is a refreshing mix of boldness and familiarity. With a commitment to intentional queer community engagement, he keeps it delightfully silly, sexy, and sleazy in sound. Notably, DaddyBaby serves as a Resident DJ and Co-Producer of Key, a  queer music-driven monthly function that has been setting the scene ablaze since the start of 2023.
