In 1987 Aaron Gilbertson was born an American to a young immigrant farming family. In 1999 this young field worker moved to Australia with a chance to start again - away from the flat un-inspirational lands from which he came. The transition from Bible Belt USA to the CBD streets of Melbourne required a sharp learning curve, for example he had to stop "rooting for" things and start rooting.

In the summer of 2007 something strange happened. He started to dance. This was not ballroom, ballet or any other formally recognised type of dance for that matter - more a random expression of energy - resulting in limbs and sweat flying everywhere.

Thus began Aaron's love of clubs, their culture, and more importantly, bass. He soon moved from dance floors to the DJ booth, watching in awe as some of Melbourne's finest DJs pumped crowds in their 1000s. Aaron knew very quickly which side of the booth he needed to be on. Fast track a few short years later, insert some mates with similar tastes and some strong music production knowledge - and m.t-ed is born.

The most appealing part of m.t-ed's sets is that each one is hand crafted perfectly to suit the room - small, big or massive. The name m.t-ed was formed from the terms munted, and empty headed - as Aaron often appears in the early (late) hours of the morning.

The Classic Music Company by Luke Solomon & Derrick Carter continues to play the game under their own conditions. As a label it never died it just retreated for a while in order to come back stronger. All hail the king because the king is back. Long live Classic!
