Embodiment 069 - Agonis

It’s a genuine delight to welcome Sarah Wreath to the Unrush mix series. 

Sarah and Mareena first met at SuperBooth in 2018 - a wonderful, annual playground for synth lovers in Berlin. They were both working at the front desk, surrounded by machines, cables, curious conversations, and the kind of people who speak fluent modular. It was one of those encounters that sticks. Since then, their paths kept crossing at different corners of the music world, always briefly, but with a deep mutual respect and warmth.

Sarah’s mix for Unrush feels like slipping into a slow, sonic ritual: deep, patient, and textured with intention. At times, it´s layers reveal a delightful obscurity, inviting you to explore unexpected twists and hidden depths. You can sense her background in sound research and therapeutic practice, as well as her love for psychedelic edges and raw, old-school techno. As a producer, she has released her debut LP on The Bunker New York in 2024 and has recently dropped fresh collaborative tracks with Sandwell District.

Here for Unrush, the mix isn’t just a selection of tracks. It’s a carefully curated journey that moves through space and feeling. Lean back, close your eyes, and enjoy the ride...

Contributing our latest episode is London’s ANNX, a regular figure within the city’s cutting-edge undercurrent whose many contributions include co-curation of the Whomp, Perspectives, and once-shrouded Magick events, and a residency at the beloved Above Below festival. Anna’s tireless dedication to the scene goes hand-in-hand with her unmistakable talent behind the decks, as evidenced by an impressive repertoire of mixes and set recordings, and which I was fortunate enough to witness first-hand last summer in the Chilterns. Here Anna demonstrates her well-honed craft over the course of two meticulously plotted hours, diving seamlessly into manifold forms of deep, heavy psychedelia before emerging in a wave of euphoric bliss. Avsluta is a London-based sound artist, DJ, live performer and event curator navigating the liminal spaces between ambient and dance music. For the past 10 years, Lucie has been deepening her musical knowledge working behind the counter at Phonica Records, catering to London’s ambient, downtempo and deep dance music heads. She is the founder of Introspective Electronics, a platform featuring regular radio shows, guest podcast series and listening events, and together with producer and DJ Alicia, she runs cozy club night series Terra Obscura.

Next up in our mix series is Shoal, a Dutch producer and DJ who recently relocated to Prague. Known for his hypnotic, emotionally layered sound, Shoal crafts deep, transportive journeys through trippy textures, modular synthesizers, and rolling rhythms. A core member of the ISOTOOP collective, he’s performed at leading underground spots like De School, Tresor, and Ratherlost. His releases on labels like Tikita, Harmony Recordings, Monument, our own Ute.Rec, and most recently Animalia, continue to expand and refine his unique sonic voice within the scene.

In this mix, Shoal delivers a 1.5-hour live set full of acid-dripping techno, spacey atmospheres, and heads-down minimalism. It’s a slow-burning, carefully building mix that captures the raw live sounds and subtle depth that define his sound. A live-set working just as much the mind as the body.
