“This mix is a reimagining of a set I played for good friends at a very special party in a field somewhere in the south of the UK. Since the very first edition, that party has been a breath of fresh air to me musically, and has helped me get close to the deeply psychedelic sound I’m looking for in my own DJing. The mix begins deep in the textured sounds of the undergrowth, gradually drifting forward, through a threshold between our reality and beyond.”

It's a mix that is dream-like to begin with, progressing into a raw emotional intensity, before softening again as we enter the beyond - surpassing physicality and thought, leaving behind the illusion of reality, with all that remains being the dance of sound waves.

James hosts his own show on local community radio station on the first Sunday of each month, for 8-10 pm. So if you like what you hear, be sure to tune in.

IN2STELLAR is a Melbourne-based DJ duo formed by Sarah and Georgia. In addition to composing their own music, DJing, and organizing events in their home country, they have also performed in numerous venues in Europe. 

We were fortunate to bump to each other recently, which resulted in this mix and possibly something more, subscribe for updates.
This contribution to the book is an ongoing journey of our recent fascination with the Australian approach to the electronics. Exciting swings between broken beats and straight grooves, starting off carefully, with neat and seamless minimalism. 

As the recording unfolds, the drive gradually builds, gently unveiling another face of the Australian dance scene and wrapping up the entire story in a very compact way.

As we slowly ease out of the warmer summer days, we are delighted to welcome Noah Lyas to the Embodiment podcast series. With more than 15 years of experience in making music and as co-founder of Profundo Collective, he has carved out a space for deep, hypnotic explorations that move masterfully between nuance and vigor.

Noah Lyas reflects on the recording process with striking authenticity:

“During the summer, it gets so hot in my attic studio that making music is almost impossible. Even in the evening, with the windows open, it’s hard to stay focused and attentive while composing; only warm, heavy ambient pads come into being, with crickets providing the rhythm.

This mix was recorded just after all those hot days, when the temperature was finally low enough to dance in the attic again, and to feel what it’s like to be active. It begins calmly, flowing slowly, until the first low notes become possible after which it spills over into rhythmic steps. Just like the transition from those sweltering summer evenings to the creation of this set.”

A fluid journey that rises gently from ambient depth to grounded rhythmic flow, echoing the passage from heat-induced stillness into motion, presence, and dance.

The young berliner had his first success behind the turntables in the beginning of the new millennium. After moving to Norway in 2005, everything changed fast and Korpex had countless gigs and became resident at The Villa Oslo. 

In Oslo Korpex and his friends also started a new underground concept called: Amenta. Amenta was launched in 2011 and Korpex is one of the main guys behind the concept both as DJ and organizer. The event focuses on providing unforgettable nights on the dance floor, booking both Norwegian and international DJs. 

Korpex style varies between Detroithouse, driving Deephouse and Dubtechno.

After Monument introduced their new norwegian techno podcast, it was no question for him to make the first edition of the Monument series.

This man knows how to play, and also how to create epic underground nights, preferably starting in the night and ending in the morning.
