FLAWS is no stranger to our scene as he has numerous releases on labels such as Float Records, Illigal Alien Records, and his label Platform 22 with which the first showcase will take place in London on the 9th of July.

For now, you can listen to this podcast which highlights all the traits and characteristics of FLAWS: rhythmic percussion, clean kicks, organic elements, and dissonant synths which are mixed in a very subtle way, resulting in a danceable but also very pleasant sound.

Embodiment 029 - Flaws

A native of the south of France, and currently based in Berlin, Perfo produces a sound which is characterised by dark undertones, raw rhythms, and a hypnotic dimension. From digital sounds and textures of noise ranging from ambient to mental techno, Perfo is discovering and spanning a collection of experimental spaces as links between past and future. First, as a Dj in Marseille and then later as a producer. Perfo moved to Berlin in order to focus on further artistic development. He became infatuated with the city, with Berlin winning a place in his heart due to its unparalleled range of inspiration, and constantly evolving electronic music scene.​

These attributes can be heard throughout his productions published on labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Children of Tomorrow, SUB tl, Concerns Music, Alleanza, Analog Section, BAHN• Records, TMM Records, Cosmic Wave Records and Wunderblock among others. BIO:
Surgeles (Kole Leijen) is a true musician with a lot of energy. He started digging into his parent’s records collection at the age of five and at the young age of eight his sister introduced him to house music. Soon after that, young Surgeles got his first set of turntables as a present for his birthday and started visiting regularly his local record dealer. While after a couple of years he started producing his own dark, deep and swerving techno. In 2005, while attending a Jeff Mills’s show, Surgeles managed to give a demo CD to The Wizard. The very next day Surgeles received a personal mail from Jeff Mills claiming that his music sounded great and that it inspired him to let Surgeles make a mix for his Purpose Maker Label. Two weeks later Surgeles’ mix was on Jeffs Mills’ Axis Records’ website for the 10th anniversary of the all-time Techno anthem "The Bells". ! Later that year, during the Amsterdam Dance Event, Surgeles won a competition hosted by Dave Clarke for the best produced track and was than picked to play on Dave Clarke’s White Noise radio show on 3FM Radio. Around 2007 Kole started throwing his own parties called ‘Civilized?” at the legendary Escape club in Amsterdam. While 2009 marked the beginning of his career as record-label boss, as he launched his brainchild: ‘Underground Freedom Fighters (UFF) Records’. ! Ever since, the collaborations with Jeff Mills kept on flowing and Surgeles' consecration came when Jeff asked him to make a compilation for his label, ‘Something In The Sky’. ! In 2017 Jeff entrusted DJ Surgeles to take care of “the Betty Hill Case”, a 12” inspired by the story and the interviews of an American couple, who were allegedly abducted by extraterrestrials in a rural portion of New Hampshire in 1961.

Born in Naples then moved to Berlin in 2011, @francesco-de-luca is a minded artist, running the label @nosignalbln. 
He developed his passion for music when he got his hands on his first vinyl records and  turntables at young age. He kept following the path of music that finally led him to the sound of Techno.

Experimenting, developing his skills for years and expanding his love for Techno also to the DJ side; wandering between various genres and never standing still. He constantly keeps exploring and building up his very own handwriting in electronic sounds. Expressed through smart releases on his own label or others as 4trk Records (Run by DJ Hyperactive), and dope mixes, like this one.

Today we close another series filled with authentic, skilled, and talented artists. As we are still buzzin from last episodes' technical highlights, it is now time to welcome a new Rotterdam face shaped by the values of our beloved dance floor.

AHIL, Arthur van de Hil, started his musical journey in 2014 where he visited his first techno event in the mighty Maassilo. He soon started to realize that this genre contained much more feeling and cohesion compared to other forms of electronic music and so he began exploring his way in it. After several years of discovering, meeting like-minded people, learning, respecting, and understanding the essence of the dance floor, AHIL decided that he wanted to contribute in an artistic way to the scene he holds close to his heart.

AHIL started buying his first set up around 2.5 years ago and in the meantime, he released multiple podcasts, for which he draws his inspiration from the close people around him, his experiences visiting clubs, niche festivals, and some of his favorite artists. With this mix, AHIL strives to challenge the listener with solid and hypnotic soundscapes combined with his characteristic way of intense mixing where he leaves plenty of space for the listener to activate their imagination.

A mix like this engages the urge for the dance floor even more, so we strongly advise you to keep a close eye on our socials next week.
