"Estar Contigo" es el nombre del segundo sencillo y también el título que tendrá el tercer álbum de estudio de Fantasna, el proyecto de música electrónica que Sebastián Mella ha desarrollado por dieciocho años desde el lanzamiento de su primer EP, Robot y Su Combo (Nomucho). En esta ocasión, hay una vuelta de Fantasna a la utilización de su voz, como lo hizo en el año 2014 en la canción “Cosas Del Cuore”, la cual, fue ganadora del primer Premio Pulsar de música electrónica otorgado en Chile.  

La entrega número diecisiete de Halcxn, se desenvuelve rítmicamente entre el electro y el house, combinando elementos de ambos estilos. Utilizando el sampling como hilo conductor de la parte armónica, los elementos se van integrando a este cuerpo principal. La incorporación de una frase vocal recortada y repetitiva en el tiempo “Estar contigo, yo quiero estar contigo” es uno de los elementos icónicos del track. 

Para Sebastián Mella, “Estar Contigo”, “es una canción inspirada por las personas y los seres, que ya no están con nosotros. Es recordar los sentimientos y las sensaciones evocadas por ellos, las cuales, recordamos con nostalgia. Para mi es un tema post-pandémico, muy emocional, que habla acerca de la necesidad de la interacción física y real”.

“Estar Contigo” se libera, acompañado de un video clip dirigido por Zaifras, destacado realizador audiovisual chileno, en producción conjunta con Sebastián Mella. El video rescata el registro de una cinta de 8mm,  de veinte años de antigüedad, que resume las vacaciones familiares de verano de Fantasna en el norte de Chile. El relato se mueve entre el pasado y el presente, con los recuerdos como estructura visual. Tanto el video clip, como la portada de “Estar Contigo”, una fotografía tomada por Sebastián cuando tenía diez años, refuerzan la idea de nostalgia impresa en la canción.

"In this mix I have combined sounds that depict the magic of bath time from my perspective. A toe dip into the reflective and sometimes unsettling but yet calming and grounding effect that bodies of water have on us.  
Recommended to be listened to in the bath, shower or wherever floats your boat really... So please find a quiet and comfortable space. Grab your rubber duck and bubbles. Run a bath or shower. Take a moment to center yourself and take a few deep breaths. Close your eyes and as you soak in the water, imagine that it is cleansing your body and mind, any stress or tension being released with each breath. Focus your attention on the sound of the water, the sensation of the water against your skin, and the rhythm of your breath. Allow yourself to fully immerse in the experience of the water. Imagine the water is flowing through you, washing away any negative thoughts or emotions. When you are ready to end, take a few deep breaths and open your eyes. "

Back in 2017 Tear Apart Tapes released "Run", a song by Shakkatam. John Talabot immediately connected with it and played it as the closing in many of his dj sets. We are now grateful to present "Run" in a new context, with three covers from artists we admire: Cucina Povera, Céline Gillain and Dania.

The original song and Dania's cover are out now. Full release and vinyl will be available in October.

Kurz vor Jahrestorschluss wollen wir nochmal den DAVE Podcast mit neuer Energie versorgen. Da passt es doch super, dass niemand geringeres als @Mint4000 einen Mix abliefert.
