SAY WHAT ? Unusual and beyond

Our fragment series continues. This month's story is told by Paragon.

Originally from Istanbul, Yoel has been a fan of electronic music since a young age. With mixes on renowned podcasts such as Spazio Magnetico, Fur:ther Sessions, and many more, he is always open to exploring different sounds. 

In 2020, he launched with his collective a podcast series called Parallel Perception. A new project guided by the stories of some unique yet really talented artists. The platform explores the thin line between hypnotic, atmospheric, and deep techno. 

‘’ During the lockdown times of pandemic, I was going through some dark times like everyone else. Where I wasn’t sure where to find inspiration from so I recorded this mix one day when I was feeling super deep and experimenting for a set. So the outcome of this set is a showcase of what I’ve been through lockdown, it helped me shape up the sound design that I aim for the selections I use nowadays on clubs as well. ‘’

BIO:
Originally from a metalcore and hardcore background he has always enjoyed electronic and experimental music. Heavily influenced by this and the techno scene in Leipzig, Germany with its well known Institut fuer Zukunft his focus are impulsive rhythms, dissociative sounds and dark and eerie atmospheres. As a founding member of PVC he is also co-organising raves in clubs and woods around the Leipzig area. For a few years now he has been exploring the world of producing. Releasing on Labels like Aarden Records, Crescent London, Further Sessions, Proselytizing or Charybdis he is establishing himself in the scene always seeking to refine his sound.

Klara - Dj, Artist, Music Producer and Live Performer
(::: Skopje) 
Coming from the Land of the Sun, Klara is a prominent artist creating her mark on the global psychedelic, deep and hypnotic techno scene. Her musical talent blossomed in early childhood and nourished in a classical music school as a soprano singer. After mutual band attempts as a teen, she returns to her psychedelic roots, rediscovering a new sense of meaning between the technological and organic realms. She started her DJ-ing career as a resident of the all-girl techno crew Code XX's events in 2015 and is responsible for some of the most forward-thinking electronic sounds coming from North Macedonia. Two years later she starts producing and soon after presents her music in various authentic concert settings such as an ambient live act in a Planetarium, AV concert in the Macedonian philharmonic hall, 18th century church, various regional and international festivals and warehouses with her techno live act. The desire to transform nature’s vibrations into sonic soundscapes is an inevitable part of her journey which may be perceived through her creative work. With her comprehensive DJ and live performances, highly induced by her deep philosophical background and psychological practice, Klara has grown into an artist able to bring a special kind of transcendental state to each of her shows. 

She has recently appeared with her original works on VA compilations for Warok Music, Charybdis, Deep Electronics, as well as presented some of her yet unreleased music on the Hypnus Memoirs. 

Inspired by her ambient project Vedis, she collides those two worlds and brings the Lasya Project to life. Hosting a monthly show focused on atmospheric music in a local online radio, she started inviting artists and labels to showcase their work.

Ida Mandate was born in a small town in Calabria in 1989. After high school, like many guys, she moved to the capital to continue her studies: here, finally away from the closed provincial mentality, and is able to express his artistic personality to bloom. Her sound refined and emotive is what characterizes every September Ranging from ambient sounds, dub techno, dark techno up to the sounds of industrial raw and violent, what we read between the lines is the telling of a story divided between two different worlds: the green landscapes of southern Italy is passed the industrial landscape of cities like Rome and Berlin, another city very dear to the artist. Music is the medium through which it is said: The console her safe haven, a place from which to protect themselves and at the same time be known by the rest of the world. Dj appreciated in the capital and followed internationally, to date he has played alongside the likes of UVB, Bas Mooy, Deepbass, Alex Dolby, Subjected and many others, always managing to make their mark.

Camilla Pisani is an audiovisual artist based in Rome. She looks for the interaction between space, sounds and abstract graphic signs. Her music is an hybrid, moving into a set of influences: ambient, drone, soundscape, soft noise, and minimal electronic. She composes field recordings, suspended atmospheres, hypnotic textures marked by concrete rhythms.

Anders Hellberg grew up in the south of Sweden, but has his home and studio in Berlin. He started to make music in the early 2000's. Now focusing on modular soundedesign and has got a big love for complex patches. 

The tracks he makes are hypnotic, atmospheric, with droning soundscapes and morphing entities. Anders Hellberg released many high quality EP's on diffrent respectable lables out there such as @northallsenrecords, @circularlimited, @nferee and @ordinamentoselettivo. 

He just started his own record label Cinus with the first release out featuring remixies from Doctrina Natura and Kontinum.
