When we are at our lowest we look to someone or anyone for strength. I lost my brother coming up on 3 years this July and each day it doesn’t get easier, but I do ask my brother for guidance, protection and strength🙏🏼 I am NO Whitney Houston vocally but this song was released after she experienced low moments in her life and she looked to a higher power to help her go on. Hello beautiful people! I started to write this song because I was thinking back and I realized just how much I hate change as a person. Good change, bad change, it doesn’t really matter. Change scares me. The kind of change I experienced rocked my world. Losing my brother changed me as a person.  I guess I never thought I would ever say those words out loud. How could I even imagine a world without him in it? The reality is, this is my reality now. I am scared of everything. The thought of anything else changing scares me even more.  As much as I would love for everything to go back in place and have it all be the way it was…it’s the way it is for a reason. And I simply can’t CHANGE that fact. That scares me even more, but maybe being afraid is what I need to be in order to grow. I guess the biggest lesson, and the hardest pill I’ve had to swallow is…everything is not in my control and things will change. I hope this song, this message, this meaning could make anyone feel less alone. 🕊🤍

Hey my beautiful listeners :) My name is Emily DelBuono. I am 30 years old and have been singing since the tender age of 7. Writing my own material since the age of 13 and playing the piano since around 13 as well. Since taking on the piano it influenced me to write my original songs. Through writing,  it's therapy for me. There will never be a song that I upload that isn't about something that happened in my life. I want to make it enjoyable and maybe hopefully inspire you. My music is influenced by the music my parents were listening while I was growing up. A blend of 90's pop to classic rock is usually what I subconsciously pull from. My favorite genre of music is from the late 90's to the early 2000's. You will always take away a message from my music, that is what I aspire to inspire to do.
