I lost my darling one month ago today on the eve at the end of this Darling themed Splore. He was best friend, my lover, my partner in crime, my adventure buddy, and my number one fan.  
It's still so incredibly hard to believe he is gone.. 
I am so very thankful we got to spend such a beautiful and magical last weekend together doing what we loved with all our Lucky Star friends at Splore.  

This set was inspired by the theme and therefore Simon too.. I haven't played electro swing in years but had included some in this mix as it was the genre we bonded over when we first met in 2012.. This mix has now become more potent than ever.. 

We were both so excited that I got to play before international producer and DJ Franca B2B Madmotormiquel.. I've discovered Franca has very similar taste in music to me so she has become an absolute favorite of mine.  Seeing her and Madmotormiguel play on the Saturday eve was a highlight of the weekend for us both. You can hear Franca mixing into my last track at the end so I kept it on the recording..

emma tree is an eclectic DJ who currently resonates most strongly with the experimental and retro frequencies of Indie Dance.  A child of the 80s brought up on pop and classical who also has a past life inspired by the alternative band scene and the first days of Rave.  

Ms tree began her creative journey as a photographic artist and is now on a mission to explore the magic of the aural realms...  Her main love is to craft a set that poetically weaves a story or encompasses a theme, feeling or vibe. 

Continuously branching out to discover new territory and express herself through the medium of electronic dance music, each set is unique, a work of art from the heart.  A heart infinitely entranced by the magic created when two tracks blend perfectly together...✨

Whatever the genre, emma tree is always drawn to the fresh and unusual, lush or quirky melodies and deep resonating bass..  She always endeavours to make her sets interesting, emotive, uplifting.. and most of all danceable.
