Have to admit that I wasn't keen on this the first couple of times but it's grown on me quite a bit with subsequent listens. I really like the detuned string pluck sounds and the ethereal pads and the D50-esque tones (around 1:30) - the drums are very minimal, and I kept hearing some tribal toms in my head, would have been great to fill it out with some extra percussion, though this probably wasn't the synth to do that with :)

You have some nice sound design but I didn't not like the pluck as for me it was too out of tune with the rest of the elements.

Let me guess - You have used the short-delay-trick  in some pacthes? It sometimes sounds a little inharmonic because of that ... but it never hurts my ears. Not sure whether I like it or whether not ... Nice puzzle ;-)

I like the rhythmic foundation ... I accidentially mad my head node ... it's kind of hypnotic

Lovely pads and ethereal sounds - almost has a Fairlight CMI vibe to it. A really unique inharmonic style and the plucks in combination with the pulsating bass make it sound uneasy in a captivating way. It gives the track a vibe of being in a place you're not familiar with. It's great.

Congratulations on using a very creative programming technique.  The bass feels loud to me thru the mix and detracts from the mid and upper register sounds, but really interesting piece.

What does the title/pic mean? 
I have had many dreams throughout my life about finding hidden doors that lead to magical places. The picture is of a abandoned stairway in a house I lived in for a few years in college. Leads to the backside of a refrigerator. I had dreams about that house, that there were secret floors burrowed back into the hillside, etc. And at one point years later I couldn't remember if this abandoned stairway really was there or I just dreamed it.

Anyway making this triggered another of that type of dream.
